the internal A & B banks don't load off the card but there should be no latency on the card either. if you go into delete mode the pads act like a mute group. you can't use the sequencer with that though obviously
Hey, thanks for chiming in. I know that banks A and B are internal memory but I was using the card in this case. I've seen some people on forums, saying that the latency depends on the speed of the card that you use. I'm sure there was some slight latency, but it also depends on how sensitive you are to it. Some people may not notice it. I'm comparing it to my Maschine and Ableton Push 2 on a Mac with MOTU interface at 64 or 128 buffer and it was definitely harder to record drums to a click track without quantizing. Anyways, I already got the SP-404 MK2, which is much snappier and has dedicated pad mute function.
@@LowHeatBeats yeah the push 2 pads are way better. there's definitely glitching when resampling if the pads are mostly all filled up with certain cards. og 404 is fun for quick sketches though

Dope tutorial! I find that chopping on the og isn't that hard when you use the mark button and then refine with the start/end knobs
