Idk what it was but the guy who played Hades last night in Costa Mesa, 1 had dreads, 2 had a bit more charisma, 3 bellowed the “I CONDUCT THE ELECTRIC CITY” line so powerfully, you could feel the hush in the theater.
Levi Kreis is SO good as Hermes! So lucky I got to see this cast. I had no knowledge of the show going in and it just blew all other musicals out of the water for my favourite. I was disappointed when I realized the tour cast didn’t have any good quality recording. But this is amazing
Still don't know what to think of the new cast but I absolutely love this new take on the Fates. They are more bratty and I think it fits really well, look at their sheer glee at 28:38 and 29:03 in front of Hades' dilemma
I feel like the Fates act as the inner voice of the characters. In a way, they represent both faith and doubt. It also makes sense that they can be bratty, as sometimes anxiety and doubt feel like your own brain is insulting itself. This really wanna makes me see what they did with doubt comes in!
ahh ur amazing for recording this ! Kevyn and Kimberly are absolutely amazing as Hades and Persephone. Their How Long feels really intimate and explosive at the same time. Kimberly’s Persephone is an angry goddess making a desperate plea and Kevyn’s Hades responds as a bitter king too stubborn to listen. Their reconciliation in Epic III is so beautiful and the audience reaction in that bit is so pleasing to hear
Papers 0:35 Nothing Changes 3:36 If It's True 4:41 How Long 8:56 Chant (reprise) 12:41 Epic III 17:19 Epic III (they danced) 23:47 Promises 25:29 Word to the Wise 28:10 His Kiss, the Riot 29:30
I was looking for this exactly- i saw this one a couple weeks ago and it changed me as a person. I wanted to find the "they danced" clip from this run so bad and you delivered 🙏🙏🙏 thank you so much
I remember reading on a comment somewhere that you have the audio for act I. Would it be to much trouble to ask if I could have a copy of it? I love the national tour cast's voice
I'm so sorry, Kevyn Morrow is fab and puts his own wonderful spin on the character of Hades, but NOBODY will ever be as menacing yet charismatic as Patrick Page in that role, those earth-shattering bass notes he produces are just synonymous with the character for me, and without them I feel Hades is missing something.
Nicholas Barash as Orpheus Morgan Siobhan as Eurídice Levi Kreis as Hermes Kimberly Marable as Persephone Kevyn Morrow as Hades Belén Moyano, Bex Odorisio, and Shea Renne as The Fates
this is like the best rendition of is it true i've ever fuckin heard

I uploaded a video with the audio
Fuck I really like this Orpheus
He was so good. I got to see Reeve shortly after I saw the tour and Nicholas Barasch is still my favorite.
@@jsnider81 almost every other Orpheus blows Reeve out of the water. really weak casting imo
@TheShockinglyEloquentDog Nick in my opinion is the best Orpheus, shame he wasn't Orpheus for longer
@@jsnider81 same!!!!!!!
