She's such an awesome actress. There are a handful that really inspire me as an (amateur) stage actress. I won some provincial awards in High School and did a few years of drama and theatre in University. I'd love to get back into local theatre, acting is so great and it feels so great to create something with a group of people. Kelly Bishop, Lily Tomlin, Jackie Burroughs, Jessica Walters, and the late Dame Maggie Smith. I'm going to have to pick up this memoir if it's not available to borrow from the library.
I love to know that even if Emily and Lorelai didn’t have the best relationship in Gilmore Girls, at least Kelly and Lauren have the best relationship in real life 💕☺️ and that’s even better

She was the 2nd actress to play baby houseman’s mom the first actress dropped out cause she got sick In the first week of shooting & so Kelly was a replacement
I love her sassiness she projects into every role of hers. Looking back, she was one of the most interesting characters on Gilmore Girls. She is the only one that actually developed in the later seasons.

I meeaan "best known" is not about her best/biggest roles. It's about where most people know her from and I hate to dissappoint you but way more people watch TV Shows than Broadway (also a question of affordability and accessibility) so yes as sad as that might be for you, she's best known by the general public for her TV Show role as Emily Gilmore :-)

Besutiful woman now myself and my nine year old son are glued to this show on netflix 2024 ahh im 42 only started watching it fabbb we have learned the song off bh heart and it is making us so happy to wafch together. its now our bonding show..we sing song from show like it was written for us personally

I love Gilmore girls but unfortunately the new Gilmore girls life in the making should have never been made I would watch the original but not the new one. Like team Logan seriously like Rorey is sleeping with a married man who she was going to end up with but never did and then gets perganet from Logan who is married to another woman like come on
I agree it should have never been made. It ruined so much, at least audiences could have imagined what happened next but now all of it has been ruined knowing there life has gotten much worse from there.

Kinda like the fact that Luke and Lorelai have the best chemistry in the show, but they’re not even close in real life, it’s actually kinda sad lol
