What Serral does is called the snowball effect. You convert your small advantages into much larger ones over time. You can opt for upgrades or more workers by gaining favorable trades. We refer to this as suffocating our opponent in chess. It is very difficult to do because it requires almost flawless technique and a great understanding of the game, but one big blunder and all of your advantage is lost and perhaps even the game.
@erikm9768 I wouldn't necessarily call it patience. He isn't waiting because every minute in an rts is massive. Precise is a more accurate description. when you are in an MMA fight and other guy is stunned. if your background in BJJ or wrestling, you do take them down for submission or ground and pound (Olivera, Islam, Habib, Chimaev few examples). Bad analogy ;)
if you've got a big advantage in the grappling 100%. Man have we seen a lot of fights where guys with average wrestling and BJJ decide to start grappling and give the other guy time to recover when keeping it on the feet should lead to an easy finish
Game 3 is great answer to those annoying sc2 players back in the day who used to say "if i had 350 apm i would be a god in starcraft." Desicion making and strategy are often more important than just being able to play fast!
To serral, hero is just a nice, little kid. Serral completely cut Hero's balls, fixed him into a woman after 2 games. You can see hero in game 3 was kind of a coward.
Ok so game three has to either be a medical issue like a migraine or panic attack for the loser or it’s match fixing…the level of play was like diamond level…so many things just didn’t make any sense…like made at least ten choices that were just inconceivable for a pro player
Game readability is very low in this game, units are very hard to differentiate or pin point, terrain is over detailed for a RTS. Upgrades should be listed permanently for caster view. Very weird that such a popular game has very obvious short comings still.
Such a braindead take lmao beats all the best zergs in this tournament including the gamers8 champ lol. Give a Korean a week to prep and it's a different ball game lmao.
Lolwut. Gsl is a Korean tournament. Hero was top Korean here. Doesn't that make him the best Korean? Shouldn't that mean he SHOULD be winning gsl? Your comment makes no sense.
Just because one player is way better than the others doesn't mean their race needs a nerf. It just means that one player is really good. Nobody else can do what Serral does. Not even close.
Yeah, we can't have the best player winning stuff, can we? We need to nerf his race to a point that second rate players (compared to him) win. But maybe you were sarcastic.
Serral is too strong so all other Zerg players have to suffer more nerfs. 🤣 How many nerfs have Zerg gotten since Serral arrived on the scene? I don't think any will be enough until Serral never reaches any quarter finals to satisfy Serral haters.
Regarding game 3. soooo..How do we know this wasn't fixed? I mean those mistakes were was just uncreative and on par with Gold-League-Gaming. 20 Cannons after an obvious advantage? taking the exact(!) wrong decisions despite controlling the whole map? These decisions weren't like taking the wrong turn but stopping on the street, climbing on the cars roof and putting ones underwear over the head, shouting: I'm going all in now!". This kind of sudden, incomprehensible decisionmaking activates the same pattern alarm in my fake detector as in all the other fixed games. I'm sorry to childishly escalate this way, but bither this or Hero has had sporadic micro-strokes.
Please please please please please turn off hp on every unit going forward. I beg of you please. Love watching your casts. Not watching green dots run around the map. Please please please

That player is Serral. I have no idea how anyone can deny that Serral is the GOAT of StarCraft 2. Not one player comes even close to such a dominance over such a long period of time while at the same time amassing more important trophies in less time than anyone else. Serral's win rate vs his weakest matchup (Zerg) is higher than most pro's overall win rates. To anyone arguing flash = SC2 GOAT: Flash never had win rates that even come close to Serral's and had lower win rates than Innovation at time. He also was only present in SC2 for around 2 years. He definitely is the SC GOAT though. To anyone arguing Innovation/Maru: These two both failed to show up on the really big stages. Maru only ever got a 2nd place at Worlds with his 2023 defeat against Oliveira.. He didn’t do what sOs, ROgue or Serral did: Go to a big stage, where the best of the world compete and win. The same is true for Innovation. Both Maru and him falter when competition from outside of Korea is present/when the big stage calls. Also both have lower win rates vs the top players and less achievements. To anyone arguing sOs: sOs, who is a 2 time world champion, only has 5 premier tournament wins. If you consider Rogue and Serral, who also are in the debate, sOs falls short. The same holds true as for Innovation and Maru. Less achievements, less dominance. Rogue has won 11 premier tournaments from 2017 to 2022. He, as well as Serral, won 2 Worlds. Now let’s bring Serral into the equation. Out of his 23 premier tournament wins which span from 2018 to 2023, 18 are with Korean participation, Serral won 2 World Championships. Him and Rogue in my opinion are the only two players who are consistent and showed up when the best of the world are present. They have achieved similar high end feats. BUT: Serral has way more Premier Tournament wins (with Korean participation and yet even more without) and was more dominant in his win rates and records versus other Korean players. To people arguing that Serral never won a GSL. So what? He played the best of the best from GSL and defeated them time and again (see record vs these players and overall win rate vs Koreans above). Does anyone seriously believe Serral would not have won the GSL if he was born Korean? And at the same taking Premier titles away from players who now claim them? If anything, Serral's dominance would have been EVEN MORE apparent. Plus Serral even went to Korea twice and both times won the GSL vs Worlds where the best of the GSL participated. That argument sounds a little bit like this: Real Madrid (Serral) who defeated all Premier League teams (Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool etc.) in the Champions League (GSL vs World, World Championship, etc.) is not better than Liverpool because it never played in the Premier League. The argument is absurd. The Premier League (Korea) sends its best teams (Maru, Dark, Rogue) to the Champions League (GSL vs World, World Championship, etc.) and these best teams get beaten by Madrid (Serral). No one in their right mind would argue that Madrid isn’t the best team in the world, simply because it didn't play versus Wolverhampton. Anyways, these are my thoughts. Share stats, if you disagree.

It turns out both are valid words with very similar meanings. I wonder if "feint" is used more often in Australian and British English.
yeah feigning doesn't sound exactly like "fainting" so probably should use that more
Feint is actually more accurate here in my understanding. Feign is like an animal pretending to be dead. Feint usually involves movement.
Hero trying to get scouted to play as an MLB pitcher he threw that game 3 so hard
lmao
when you are in an MMA fight and other guy is stunned. if your background in BJJ or wrestling, you do take them down for submission or ground and pound (Olivera, Islam, Habib, Chimaev few examples).
I always wondered what "Feint Attack" meant from Pokemon. Thanks for the info! :D
Heros still washed 😮💨... i hope he comes back one day, hero has the coolest play style
that game 3, heart ache....
Hero should get into baseball... with these throws he'd make a great pitcher
Sorry guys! Hero had to poo a couple minutes into game 3 and I stepped in for him. My b!
To serral, hero is just a nice, little kid. Serral completely cut Hero's balls, fixed him into a woman after 2 games. You can see hero in game 3 was kind of a coward.
Serral haters:
- You're winning too much!
- You're not GOAT you're not winning enough.
- Zerg OP and not your skills.
No archon when corruptor is out? why all protoss player didn't realize need for archons versus zerg?
Im glad there still are tounies
Haha Serral is in the head of Hero. His been cripple multiple games psychologicaly. 😂
Damn.. Hero looks like the Cowboys in the playoffs. Hate to see it because I am a fan of both Hero... and the Cowboys...
Ok so game three has to either be a medical issue like a migraine or panic attack for the loser or it’s match fixing…the level of play was like diamond level…so many things just didn’t make any sense…like made at least ten choices that were just inconceivable for a pro player
You know who win when you know race are broken
The guy is leading 2:0 and you are saying he has zero chance in the 3rd game, come on. We are talking about one of the best players ever.
Serral : hero? So ez
thx
Always hatin on hero haha
Serral is obviously best in the world but Zerg is so op lol. Remax ling rofl.
Bailey Burgs
Unstopable Serral
HERO PLEASE STOP MAKING CARRIERS!!
I love all the knowledge and attention to detail but by your own admission the fixation on the mistakes is a little distracting sometimes.
Zerg won again I mean Serral
Shyann Estates
Isaac Garden
Boyle Mount
Game readability is very low in this game, units are very hard to differentiate or pin point, terrain is over detailed for a RTS. Upgrades should be listed permanently for caster view. Very weird that such a popular game has very obvious short comings still.
I think most high level players play with low graphics so it’s clearer to see.
Such a dissapointing performance from Hero. That GSL was an accident.
If almost loosing 5-0 and I would say fearfully is not disappointing, I don't know what is. It felt like he was intimidated by Serral.
Serial still looking too strong. Zergs needs a few more nerfs.
Protoss needs a buff more like.
Just because one player is way better than the others doesn't mean their race needs a nerf. It just means that one player is really good. Nobody else can do what Serral does. Not even close.
so after hero beat dark and reynor protoss didn't need nerfs either?
Yeah, we can't have the best player winning stuff, can we?
We need to nerf his race to a point that second rate players (compared to him) win.
But maybe you were sarcastic.
Serral is too strong so all other Zerg players have to suffer more nerfs. 🤣
How many nerfs have Zerg gotten since Serral arrived on the scene?
I don't think any will be enough until Serral never reaches any quarter finals to satisfy Serral haters.
Mossie Meadow
Nice.
Why would you fix a game that is in the middle of a Bo9 and you aren't even the favorite, so bets will usually be not in your favor?
no sane human being would fix a match as an underdog in the grand finals of a tournament lmao
So pog
Serral is the best, but Zerg is insanely OP.
Wow... game 3... Hero sux
I am DONE with Hero. FFS. GD. JC. MF. WTF?
ur commet sucks, because one knows you know exactly what happens and try to sound smart pre action
Please please please please please turn off hp on every unit going forward. I beg of you please. Love watching your casts. Not watching green dots run around the map. Please please please
I am sick and tired of watch serral destroy everyone. There is no point watching serral games. It is painful. I hate him so much
He’s way better than the other players. More consistent as well. He seems to be the ultimate GOAT along with Maru, in this game. There’s no reason to hate any of them.
@@danielfigueredo6994 put in the same bag the best player and the OP race and you have Serrals dominance. Strangelly there are more nerfs to Terran and Protoss
@@alejandrobarrio8731last patch was literally just Zerg nerfs and Terran buffs. Cope
@@andrewduan5123 yes that's true. And it's better balanced now. At least there are some options for Toss to compete. But zergs are still the best race in PRO Leagues.

About this GOAT debate:
- There is a player who achieved the Triple Crown twice, which only 2 other players achieved.
- There is a player who has the highest win rate vs Korean players in 5 years out of 13 StarCraft2 years (2018, 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023).
- There is a player who won the world championship twice (most wins among two others)
- There is a player who holds the longest winning streak against at least Top 100 players (47 consecutive wins)
- There is a player who holds the longest winning streak against top Koreans (19 consecutive wins; achieved 2 times)
- There is a player who achieved an over 90% match win rate in a year (2023) overall - which no one else ever achieved
- There is a player who achieved an over 73% (73,24%) game win rate in a year (2023) vs Koreans
- which no one else ever achieved (closest is Serral with 69,86% in 2018 and Maru’s 69,44% also in 2023).
- There is a player who achieved an over 85% (!!!!) match win rate in three years (2018, 2020, 2023) vs Koreans. The next best other player being Maru with 78% in 2023 and herO with 74% in 2017.
- There is a player who has by far the most Premier Tournaments wins with top Korean Participation (15) and overall (23)
- There is a player who has NO negative win rate vs ANY pro player since his first Premier Tournament win in 2015 which he played on a regular basis (at least 10 games) - which no one else ever achieved
Here are these player’s records against these top Koreans (wins:Korean player wins: draws):
vs Maru: 13:4:2
vs Dark: 8:5:1
vs GuMiho: 10:4:0
vs Solar: 16:7:1
vs Cure: 17:3:0
vs ByuN: 12:5:0
vs Classic: 8:2:0
vs Bunny: 9:2:0
vs stats: 9:4:0
vs soO: 8:4:0
vs Innovation: 16:8:0
vs Rogue: 8:7:0
vs Trap: 14:3:0
vs Zest: 10:5:0
That player has been so dominant since his rise to the top in 2018 in Seoul that he won more tournaments - with participation of the best Koreans in the world - in 6 years of playing StarCraft 2 than all players who have been present among the top players for much longer.

Man, I'm so tired of Serral winning every single fucking thing, this is so boring...
Can Serral stop winning pls I'm so tired of him winning
I love that some zerg win everything .. toss are so imba and boring
He's the goat, and best player in the world by far. You better get used to it.
but some people don't think he wins enough to be considered GOAT.😂
So what is it? Is Serral GOAT or not?
