i think clem style stalker wall is flexible (with 2 bunkers at the natural), good for high apm terran, but ruff style stalker wall is convenient for me (D1 terran)
I don't think this is necessarily true. I think he just doesn't care as much now that GSL wins is only worth like $100 USD and he knows he failed so many times at the biggest tournaments that I get the sense he just doesn't care as much any more
@@richardly1543 even in exposed state he is 1000x better than any dumb commentors like you. Like I dk if you do it delibirately, or just so naively ignorant not to notice that your comment is extremely condescending.
During that first game. Maru cant just pick up the tank and boost it to the natural. The stalkers could blink back into his main and he doesnt have any vision on the stalkers to see where they are going. If he puts the tank in the medivac, they can blink underneath and take out the tank and the medivac for free. Usually your commentary is pretty good, but this kind of incorrect backseating is quite annoying to watch. I think Maru knows better how to defend blink stalker pressure than you do.
First of all, that 5:22 tank positioning achieves very little if anything. It's not close enough to unseige and cover the tank in the natural quickly, nor is it in range to land an immediate shot if those stalkers blink into the main from the left, where hero did twice. Secondly, it takes I believe 12 stalker shots to take down a medivac, there aren't that many stalkers to one shot. Also stalkers' cool down is 7 seconds, if Maru loads up the tank and gets blinked on immediately then it's on his lack of awareness. Bottome line, Maru left a big opening and pig is trying to figure out how to repair it by pointing out the fundamentals. At 7:20 Maru is 2000 resources behind in trade, ultimately gave away the advantage and lost the game, that's not successful defence.
@@StereoHound No, that was a good defensive tank positioning to defend the stim research, if he didnt have it there and the stalkers do blink back into the main and snipe stim. its gg much faster. Medivacs are armored, have 1 base armor, and have 150 hp. Stalkers do 18 damage per attack to armored units. So they do 17 damage per attack to medivacs. That means it only takes 9 stalker shots to kill a medivac, so yes he could have one shot it. You could have easily looked this up on liquipedia before writing a comment trying to prove me wrong. If Maru boosts the medivac into his natural and drop the tank there, and then the stalkers blink in, the medivac boost will be on cooldown so he cant boost away and it will get sniped 100%. You cant use the boost unless you know where the stalkers are and you know your medivac cant get blinked on, because you need the boost to be able to dodge the stalkers when they do blink in. Bottom line, Maru did the best job he could, but hero is one of the best protoss players in the world and sometimes they will just kill you with a 3 gate blink build. The only thing Pig said that I will agree with is that Maru's building positioning wasnt good, it left a lot of room for the stalkers to blink in and it was hard to defend. I never said it was a succesful defense, I said Pigs backseating was incorrect.

is maru gearing up to retire?
Spoiler shield 🛡️
Maru is on a decline since last yr and Clem basically ecplised him as the best Terran...Maru is a shadow of himself
The Maru falloff needs to be studied. So fast & so severe
Where has Parting been lately ? Havent seen a game with him in a while..
He's off playing Stormgate I believe
The stars did not align in the second game. Everything went wrong for him.
Thanks for 4k.
Maru has been getting exposed. His skills reached a hard peak and has never been able to evolve past that like the other top players
Unfortunately his tactics and methodology ran thin. It just doesn't work anymore.

@ if so he needs to quit. It’s embarrassing and tarnishing his once held legacy

What's up with maru, he is constantly being stomped.
Maru isn't practicing. It wouldn't surprise me if he was gearing up to go pro in a different game, or is thinking about his military service.
@@JasonOlney-uu1ddI agree. Sc2 isn't lucrative any more
Lol. *Nerf Terran 3 patches in a row* why are the Terrans losing and Clem playing Protoss?

maru is geting old now
So disappointed with Maru’s play the last few years. He seems kind of ordinary now - a very good Korean Terran - but nothing special.
rather watch the matchup with muted sound :)
such a boring game. Is maru betting on losing for 2 games?
second...not as good as first, but ya know what can ya do
Hi I'm first 100 like on this coment lol 🤣 BTW gg hero
