@@rattrap1009 is that a question my lad or las? I suppose that is a broad definition that would encompass many normal classroom items, but I imagine a plain, seemingly purposeless block of wood when you say it like that. Forgive me, my interest was peaked is all.
This could just be because I grew up in Wisconsin (in a much smaller town than Milwaukee), but I actually connected with some of the things Mark Borchardt said about using the midwest as a horror setting. Some parts of the upper midwest have this quality of "emptiness" that he alluded to when he was talking about the barren farm fields and "skeletal trees" that show up in his short films. I recognize that sense of frustration and listlessness he describes that comes from living your whole life in a setting like that. It's a shame he's not a good filmmaker, because there were definitely aspects of his vision I found compelling. I like the idea of there being north-midwestern equivalent of southern gothic film/literature that explores the darker and stranger aspects of life in upper midwest (the only instances of that I can think of off the top of my head are *Nebraska* by Bruce Springsteen and maybe *Fargo).*
I'm surprised nobody asked whether Evan was a furry too, or what his fursona might be. Adam, do you talk about that side of your life with your family at all, I mean if it came up in conversation?

Or he should actually try to enjoy these movies without focusing on the fact that they’re not shot like some pretentious art film. The CGI is a amazing and admirable and it should not be seen as a downgrade, it should be a credit to the film. Putting an artsy filter on a Spider-Man movie would distract from the real focus of the film: the story, characters, and action. Plus there are some shots that do look really good (Mysterio’s introduction, the flower field where Happy rescues Peter, and every single frame of the Mysterio-illusion sequence) He just turns a blind eye to these films and doesn’t try at all to give valid criticism that doesn’t stem from pretentious-ness.

I'm an acting student, and based on what I've heard, the other reason why Keanu is so well liked is because he's one of the hardest working actors in the industry. Even if he doesn't have the most talent, he always shows up off-book, always is receptive to direction, always ready to do another take.
Yeah, and also because he treats the crew and other people involved in the production really kindly. The internet is littered with stories about people who worked on productions as interns or had the lowest ranks on some sets, but Keanu would still hang out with them and would even go pick up food for the crew with interns. Stuff like that which is not common at all. As well as being a stellar amaritan seeing how many people like Octavia Spencer have stories about him seeing her broken down on the side of the rode and stopping to help her even though he didn't know who she was. I think it's that, because even in the case of "nice relatable guys" like Hanks or Jennifer Lawrence, it's still more about their personality in promotional interviews and not random people coming out of the woodwork to show grattitude to them. Plus, the fact Keanu seems to resent being applauded and doesn't even want to talk about how friendly he is takes it to another level
To be clear, at least I did enjoy "Far From Home" and it has some cool moments where Peter takes over Iron Man's technique and he's becoming a hero with neat costumes and having Peter relatable for his next upcoming series, and I really wanted to have Spider-Man to have his own adventure because after Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame which makes him supportive to tag along with the MCU characters throughout the franchise and it's time for him to be as a regular Spider-Man. Like go face many villains, have him as a coming to an age story, facing his fears of being an responsible hero, and have him swinging around throughout the sequences of New York City. Let him breath to have his side of Spider-Man and have his own series and I'm glad Sony is coming back on track to make new series of the MCU Spider-Man. After for awhile, it was very entertaining and I didn't have much wow it's so awesome and it is the greatest movie of all time, but just a solid entertaining film. My superhero rating is becoming low on my brain after Endgame which did a finale and MCU is still making more future films on their own which I'm happy for the studio, which will be okay to have a watchable entertaining Marvel film. I hope things will not change because we're all grown up and we can overhyped many superhero films like Adam, Ralph, and Alex that they prefer more original than cookie cutter mess, so we stepping on a new media of entertainment.
