So I have a rtx 2060 paired with a ryzen 7 3700x and 16gb of ddr4 ram. Would you recommend I stick with 1080p and go for high settings or, buy a 1440p monitor and push for 1440p medium/high settings?
Hi Nice content i really proud of you I have a question I wanna upgrade my GPU but i don't have money to upgrade the CPU and motherboard My mother board is Z97-k Asus Intel core i7 4790k 16 gig ram Will 4060 Server me well like after 2/3 years and enjoy the frame boost ? Then replace the CPU and motherboard later?? And does 4060 PCI 4 Lane work on PCI 3.?? On my Z97-k mother board Or else 6600xt if my budget can't let
I'm pretty sure your cpu is not as bad as people might think, but it really depends on what gpu you currently have. If it's gonna give you a massive boost even with the cpu bottleneck then yeah, just do it.
@@ionutdaniel4059 sure thx My PSU has been working too long and it's 650w I think it's been working like More than 6/7 years is it a concerning?? I never had an issue with it.. Yeah definitely it'll give a frame boost spacially upgrading from R9 290x
@@Silver_silva0 Yeah upgrade your GPU for sure. As for your PSU, it depends on the quality, for example I saw people using 12+ year old Seasonic PSUs with no problems whatsoever. I have an old pc that's been running a 550w no-name chinese PSU for 7 years and it's also fine. 650W is also plenty for an RTX 4060, even if you upgrade your CPU further down the line. Hope this helps!

@@Silver_silva0 yes it will work on your motherboard you will lose only like 5% of the fps but i just wanna say the rtx4060 is not a good card for the price and if you don't care about RT go with the cheaper option the rx6600xt this is much cheaper and perform a bit worse compare to 4060

I play only on 1080p, so I’m good with this one
Just bought one of these second hand for a bargain off ebay, great great card!

Stick to 1080p and save money
@@extremegraphicstechAlright thank you very much for the quick response!
@Walter.Hartwell.white99.1 not a prob
Is an amd ryzen 5 2600 cpu a good pair with the 2060 or should I upgrade. Im kinda new to the pc world.
I have an Ryzen 5 1600 AF, which is practically an 5 2600, together with the 2060 and it works fine. Wait to upgrade only with a full DDR5 build.

no your i7 4790k is not good for the rtx4060 so you're not going to have an RT games running good on that system
