NOTIFICATION SQUAD: Where'd you want to see Natsuki and I travel to next?! We're hoping to do more of these excursions throughout 2021!
And a special thanks to Sharla & Shiori from Tokyo Creative who came along on short notice to help us film our journey. They're lurking in the background throughout the video.
I have to say the Tottori sand dunes exceeded my expectations, and I'd love to re-visit the region if not to explore, then certainly to shoot NATSUKI OF ARABIA. (ALSO stick around the for the outtakes right at the end of the video 😂).
Hey dave !

Natsuki's vocabulary is both random and marvelous, him narrating his day alone would be premier content.
To be fair he knows a ton of vocab. It's just his grammar really lets him down!

Natsuki has perfect english. He then raises the bar higher, by communicating entirely in avant-garde poetry.
(I'm serious - not sure if it's the man or his english, but always manages to riff a few words into a greater meaning than their number or the constraints of grammar should make possible)
"It’s a sink time!" If only Natsuki was on the Titanic, it would have been a better experience for everyone.

Interesting, I thought it was a Mummy reference. Clearly, I need to watch Star Wars more lol
not to mention the lawrence of arabia reference
Natsuki is so funny and interesting whenever I see him in these videos, because when he's speaking japanese he's seemingly just a normal nice dude, but when he's speaking english which I get the feeling isn't a super strong suit, him probably thinking ''man it'd be fun to shoot golfballs off this dune into the water'' in japanese, in english instead becomes this super charismatic ''LET'S GOLF!'' along with a showy charade of shooting a golf ball, I love it so much.
Also something about him REALLY reminds me of Toru Yano, I wonder if anyone's ever told him that before.

It's a great feeling being in a night train, perhaps a bit nostalgic from when you were a child and on a long road trip with your parents. By the time they got done with the night train, I had forgotten the point of the trip was to go see the dunes.
King Natsuki is quite the character. Seems like he'd be a great travel companion.
I am delighted that Natsuki has so many fans.
But I don't know why I love Natsuki so much.🙆♂️
I love how Natsuki’s idea of luxury is ham, beer, and a sturdy hanger 😂
Beer and snack, a perfect recipe for happiness. What else a man can ask for?
Yeah that is my ultimate dream ... owning a sturdy hanger. Maybe someday I will be that lucky 😉

Waking up in the morning and walking over to the restaurant cart for breakfast and coffee is almost worth the journey all on it’s own. Though the japanese train is much more luxurious than the swedish one, haha.

I’m checking now what we have in America. Even if it’s 1/10th as nice as this I’d still find it 20 times better than going by plane here. My favorite part of long road trips is going down for the breakfast/coffee. Most decent hotels have a nice vibe in their guest lounge.

That sleeper train looks really cool. Can't believe Chris got to enter King Natsuki's Palace.
I'm from Russia and our sleeper trains are not nearly as fancy. Kinda felt jealous till Chris said they announced every stop. It kinda defeats the purpose of riding the train at night :( That's indeed stupid and - may I say - unnecessary :D
The community class beds don't get any announcements at all in Russia and I never had problems with that. But on the higher class, where you have 4 people in one room, there is actually a person who would make sure you're awake and head your tee by the time you need to leave haha
Chris brought snacks, so of course Natsuki let Chris enter 😊
Now let's just hope the Phantom Thieves don't enter Natsuki's palace too
@@johnnycatt72 Was thinking the same thing, hahaha. Imagined Chris, Natsuki, Sharla and Joey as Phantom Thieves. 😂
In India, Sleeper trains are very common due to the journey times generally being quite long...
Apart from a couple of special trains, most of them don't even come close to match the aesthetics and cleanliness of what is shown in this video.
In all honesty: those cabins actually looked quite comfortable. Even the one Chris booked.
But the icing on the cake was the view Natsuki had when waking up: daylight and a lush, green scenery with small houses now and then. I envy him a bit for that experience.

I'm just glad Natsuki gets to go fun places with Chris! It's weird when you realize most people rarely get to see most of their own country during their life, so Natsuki getting to travel and enjoy himself with his friends is kinda heartwarming!
As much as I think that Natsuki deserves it. I am wondering. What is with his wife ? He does all this cool things alone. Isn't she working non stop at the hair saloon, too ? Just a little bit odd for me , wasn't in any vacation without my wife since we found us
@@blablup1214 maybe his wife doesn't want to be filmed and she might just want it to be a private vacation with Natsuki
@@blablup1214 From the little she's been on camera, she doesn't seem to want to be filmed.
And like many people in any country, she may well just not be that interested in travelling.
@@abura2980 Maybe. They just make it sound in the videos sometimes like this are the first vacation in 1000 years...so it sounds like there are no separate vacation. I naturally can understand if they don't want to be on camera

I think Natsuki has a very gentle, fragile soul and Chris knows that, that's why he's always very kind with him, like an older brother. That's actually quite a good price, considering the distance AND that you save a hotel for that night.

And the whole getting woken by the announcements thing? TAKE EARPLUGS. Put your phone under your pillow with an alarm on vibrate - boom, problem solved! I do it all the time. Japanese trains run like precision clockwork, so you can use that method for any stop along the line. These sleeper trains are a beautiful thing - sleep AND travel at the same time! Bullet trains are faster, but they take a slice out of your day in a way that sleeper trains don't. I'm surprised Chris didn't ruminate on this in his usual thoughtful manner...
