Looks good, should fit a video card in there as well. There are pci extensions/vertical gpu pci adapters that you could put in and be able to shove a card inside not a 3080 but a 2060-2070. Looks like you'd have to have it crammed but it'd be fine. As well as throw in 1-3 40mm fans to help displace the extra heat as well as give airflow to the area where the video card/mobo are close.

My OCD wouldn't let me do this without putting in a disc drive looks weird seeing that light coming through where your meant to put the disc either put in a drive or cover it with a piece of plastic or a metal plate with the birth and death of your ps3 as a momentum

Me As a person who collects gaming consoles and owns a gaming desktop and laptop, I am very pissed at you!! That was a perfectly good ps3 that couldve been repaired
Most can't be fixed by beginners or people who aren't familiar with the ins and outs. It's not as simple as replacing capacitors and reflowing. It involves UART reading, SYSCON codes, and most of the time regrafting another version of the GPU with an expensive BGA workstation. If you're very lucky it can go on a few more months with a reflow. And most people blindly recap the console without even reading the codes as to which are faulty. To top it off for almost a decade people touted the Tantulum capacitor replacement which later on was found to be a lesser equivalent to the stuff already in the console. So TLDR bad information and wannabe repair shops and basement fixes ended up killing most PS3s.

Functionality and performance over design. No one will look at their PS all day, especially not while playing.
