Herve hasn't had internet since before this episode aired. I have not been able to get ahold of him. But next time he comes online, he is going to have a heart attack with the number of you who have donated. Thank you all so much for your generosity. You have changed Herve's life. And his 2 kids. Colin.
How wonderful ... what a beautiful way to pay it forward Colin. We watch every week but this is the one that brought me to tears, those who have nothing will give their all. So beautiful. We have much to learn, thank you so much for sharing. Donated of course.
I follow you but this of the first time I actually watch a video of yours, so glad I did. Great cause! Happy to support Herve with what little I have. May he see his dream, and the dreams of others, come to fruition. God Bless you, Colin and crew, on your journeys!
Ahoy captain!! I knew you were that good pirate on Below Deck... Thank you for this humbling great story and channel I flukily only stumbled across. Just thinking; also donation wise - I did a bee course a few years back here in the Bay of Plenty and have a great conditioned bee suit, smoker thing etc, text books (if he reads english) that is collecting dust and can donate this to Herve? perhaps via you guys? I am located in Tauranga, let me know... reply here as could send to you in NZ if you can pass on to their atoll. Cheers, Toni
Amazing story of giving back. Fantastic job Colin on that laborious outboard repair with just available tools and no dealer parts support nearby. This entire episode was a next level production from Parlay. Looking fwd to the new episodes and adventures. Cheers
This is why your followers are so loyal and you win those awards. It’s not just a popularity contest with you guys…your content is so amazing so often and so is the crew of Parlay.
My dear Colin, I cried along with you during your hug with Herve. I know people who live minimally in Jamaica and they're very special people who understand the TRUE meaning of life. I love you Colin and dont even know you. Youre an amazing human and you got me thru radiation. Be safe my friend & I hope to meet you one day. ⛵️🌏💜🌅
One of the most awesome Sailing/Life videos I have ever watched. I think Herve maybe one of the most “richest” men on the Planet. His “currency” being true life to oneself.
Wow, Wow, Wow what a great story. I also agree with one of the first comments. Setting up the go fund me and helping people out is what makes Parlay so special. I am proud to be associated with all of you! You guys are special!!!!!!
Best “sailing” content on RUclips. It’s nice that your content isn’t focused on attracting clicks, but is about the journey and the people. You guys deserve all the success you have achieved. Can’t wait to see you make it home.
5 stars. Your ability to tell a story and relate the human experience is exceptional. The human membrane of society begins with that one to one relationship. Thank you, Herve and his community, and the crew of Parlay for the opportunity to have a glimpse at island life, a rescue, a reunion and that awesome outboard repair.
I am honored to donate to Herve’s bee research and project. You, Colin, are a true ambassador for peace in this world and I’m just grateful I stumbled on your channel at the very beginning. Fair winds my friend.
I am so touched by the love you were shown that I am watching as tears slowly stream down my cheeks. I don’t cry easily but this family was so gracious and loving it just touched my heart. Colin you gave them back so much by fixing that motor, and they showed their appreciation to you. I couldn’t live this simple a life at my age, but I appreciate that these wonderful people do. Bless all of them and you. Yes even Jamie your translator…lol.
If he has a mailing address I have a close friend who is a very successful beekeeper and I would love to send him some stuff to help him get started. I’ll pay for all the shipping. Of course I’ll give money. Teach a man to keep a bee, and he’ll have honey for life! As always love what you do!
Im not even sure how to send anything to this atoll. That is very kind of you though. Email us at info@parlayrevival.com and maybe we can figure something out with Herve.
A nearly unbelievable and oh so personal story they I feel privileged to be able to see/hear. Thanks again for sharing the stories of you and the crew’s adventures and life experiences.
One of if not thee best thing about watching your channel and a few others, is the story telling, the introduction to new and different cultures. It's beautiful to see how happy these people are living such a minimalistic lifestyle, we all could learn so much from their selflessness and love for humanity. Herve hit the nail on the head, "when someone needs help, you help them". . it's really as simple as that!
I know I am not the most emotional of men but I confess I shed a few tears watching this. We cannot see the future but we have hope, may you see Herve again.
The kindness of people throughout the world is unbelievable. The welcome mat is always out at their homes and they will share what the have with you. People with very little, but share what they have are the richest people in the world.
Colin, Thanks for all the fun videos, stories, adventures and people you have introduced people to through your channel. I saw this video a few months ago (and have watched many more) and gave some cash to Herve's effort to get into bee keeping. I was hopeful you might be able to update people via a response to this message about his progress with this dream. My guess is all that watch and that donated are cheering for him but also curious to find out how this new adventure is going for him. Thanks for taking the time to respond and for the continued adventures you all are sharing. Safe travels, Fair winds and Following seas my friend. Edward
I was there and still this episode brought me to tears. So blessed and grateful to have been included in this Aratika return with Colin🥰 Hervé is the most humble human I’ve ever met and 100% deserves your support!!!
Good luck to Herve! Just donated! What an incredible experience. If only all people could be as generous and happy as Herve and his family and friends on this little atoll...what an amazing world we would have. It seems to me that the people who have so little seem to give the most. So if you have the means, share with those that don't...you don't know their story, and most of the time, it's not what you have judged it to be. Sharing is caring.❤
Fantastic story. My pleasure to make a donation, look forward to hearing how Herve gets on. And a fantastic example of how the internet can share an amazing story and share some love.
Leaving a "thumbs up" just doesn't even begin to cut it. Thanks ever oh so much for sharing. This is the stuff that knits us neatly all together on this planet Earth!❤😊 Blessings to all! 🙏🥰
Colin one day in the future when your settled and older you may find yourself reminiscing of all the experiences you’ve had in life. I hope that you feel very proud of all the things you’ve done and the lives you have changed for the better. Your a very special human being and I wish you all the best in your future adventures.
Beautiful episode Colin. Tears too after the hug. Giving your time and skill to recognise what they did for your Dad was dead-on to fix their outboard. The hand of human kindness in both directions. Extremely touchng.
This was such an amazing episode Colin. More than any other episode, it encapsulates the soul of the Parlay Revival series. To know that there is a little atoll out there with folks that are as honest and soulful as Herve is so satisfying.
Hey Colin, Things happen for a reason. I am glad your father and his crew made it out safely. But I think you and your father were meant to meet those lovely people. Stay safe, may you have the wind at your back and the sun shining on your face.
COLIN! Big fat tears rolling down my cheeks! Such a wonderful video and what a story. The more I watch you all , the more I want to live a new chapter in my life . Herve and his family are amazing humans and I was thinking about how we could send them something and then the Go fund me bit came up and I cried again ! So deserving of a 'coup de main' as we French speakers say -a helping hand . love you guys and love watching . Thanks
I dont know where or how, but this episode, needs to be submitted for awards! What a story and so well filmed and narrated. Colin this is your best work. I know awards weren’t the motive for this episode, but it is epic!
I'm sure many followers say "i love you Colin". I'll think it. you're probably over it. Ill say that you're a wonderful human being & have a heart so big the rest of the world should be jealous. You lead by example and no matter how good we are, you make us want to be even better. ❤
This is why I am so addicted to your channel, the Hearts and Souls of you and the people you meet are so pure, and genuine! It is so uplifting to know there are still good people in the World! Thank You Colin, and Crew for sharing this story of tragedy, that turned into meeting people that have become family for life!!
Stripped of what we normally consider to be essentials , you remind us, here, of the potential of fundamental human goodness. Life is good and love conquers all, to quote "LeaveEverythingandWander" Thank you!
A man with a trade and with the mindset like you is man of my heart but as an older tradesman I admire your skill and determination you do things .Love your story mate and for me Monday is 20 min or so of being taken into your adventures around the world and love every minute of .May the wind be in your sails mate and thank you for lifting me days.
Probably your best video yet. This man on the island has everything he needs...(one of your crew focusing on what he doesn't have is disrespectful)....he has more than she will ever have....contentment and happiness.
1st time, I had the pleasure to be invited into a families home was in Guam. I was TDY (temporary duty station) USAF... Was site seeing around the island (in an air force rented vehicle), and came across a local that was broke down. We helped him out.. and thought nothing of it. He invited us to his families "bbq". I'll never forget the warmth, hospitality, their simple lifestyle.. everything. It was a humbling and rewarding experience that I will never forget. Thanks for sharing this Amazing story Collin
That was indeed an incredible incredible story Colin..very emotional..tears here too..and so incredibly good to use your channel and fame and supporters to support your friend there this way to make his dream come true too..❤❤
Your are an excellent story teller Colin. It was an honour to have you share that story and experience with us all. It’s more than just entertainment you take us there and let us feel it, it’s real. Keep up the good work. It’s awesome that you sorted out the go fund me for Herve as well, your dad would be proud. Thanks.
Colin, what a beautiful gift you are giving to all of us in sharing these experiences. I look forward to each new episode knowing that I will learn or feel something new. Learning about Herve and his lifestyle was amazing. The whole world can learn something from him!! If someone needs help, you help them!! Enough said Herve! Can’t wait to see what’s next Colin. ❤
I love your content, Colin. Cheers to you, your dad, and Herve! New subscriber today and happy to be able to donate to the humble savior whose generosity is contagious.
This is one of my favorite episodes you've ever done. I had to get the tissues out. I truly hope Herve is able to begin bee-keeping. What a special, generous person!
Thanks so much Colin, Herve & Family and The Crew of Parlay.... What a Super Touching and Emotional vidclip. One could not but feel the Absolute Raw Emotion when You were saying Good-Bye to Herve and his Wonderful Family... May You Guys have Fair Winds and Fantastic sail to NZ .... Cheers to ALL from ChCh, NZ
Amazing. Thank you for bringing us along and sharing this experience with us. This is why Parley Revival is the best channel on RUclips… and all social media for that matter. 🤙🏻
Wow, one of the most heartfelt stories and best people. Made a contribution in the hopes that Herve will have joy and happiness. Thank you for making us a part of this beautiful story.
I will rate this your best video even though almost all of them are great! I would even rate it as the best sailing video of 2023! Congratulations 🎊 and thank you for sharing your story! We are in Panama 🇵🇦 now remembering what you experienced here a while ago!
Your videography and content affected me in the unique way theses atolls affect you. There are no words that can adequately describe the Tuamotus. The Tuamotus were our favorite island group sailing through the South Pacific. We spent 2 months in these atolls. They are unique in all the world. Watching you sail into the Pass made me feel all those exact thrills, emotions, and fears all over again!
I've seen so many of your videos I can't even count them all but this one here was absolutely emotional I'm not going to sit here and say I didn't share a few tears over watching this one because it absolutely hits very hard. Thank you for all that you have done and will continue to do. I hope to get the chance to meet you one day and shake your hand and maybe hear an inspiring word.
Had me in tears! What an amazing experience. The kind, beautiful heart of Herve and his fellow islanders. I'm going to Bee part of Herve's bees!! They'll love him and provide the best honey for him. Great video, one of my favs.
*Kia ora Colin, this was a beautiful episode to see you helping out yet again. Pleased to see the boat engine working again. Good to meet Jamie (got a selfie) on the boat & wharf on Saturday and seeing you meeting so many at a distance at Okahu Bay Auckland. 🙂. (the biker with santa gear on it)*
I wish Bravos Below Deck had more of this vibe. So many questions about the behind the scenes. But, This is an amazing, eye opening video! Thanks for that you do! Your drone work is outstanding too! Seeing you fix it after the sea water bath was impressive. As a pilot, you're inspiring me.
Thanks for the video folks!! It's an amazing story of how nature makes the final decision on many things. So glad you had a chance to visit with friends, Colin, and to be able to repair the boat motor. That turned into quite an overhaul and luckily no new parts were needed!! Very careful work on your part to not break anything during the repair - stressful!!. The owners will be very happy to have the boat back in operation! So nice of you to help them! Take care and stay safe you guys! 😀
You guys are the most down to earth humans ive ever "met". Im obsessed with the ocean. Gotten to see it twice, but dream of sailing. Seeing the places like this. Meeting people who live life simply. In the moment. Diving. Fishing. I dream of someday being on the ocean. Literally. Its my love, and my biggest fear. Love watching and living vicariously through you. Thank you so much for the simple things you share.
What an incredible story Colin !! another fine example of who you are ! what wonderful people!! can’t wait for you to go back there !! Well done !! Fair winds !
Dude, you rock you never leave. Anyone stranded you go above and beyond dude I’ve been watching you since you first started fixing keep going. Keep it going strong people like you is what makes the world a better place
What an absolutely beautiful episode. Thank you for sharing these stories and taking us along. Your generosity and appreciation for people and nature has created a ripple effect that will be felt around the world for years to come. Thank you.
Watching Parlay Revival is truely inspirational. Colin, Jamie and the crew are real ambassadors to society . Living Life to the maximum while remaining humble . Love watching a channel where the use of scantily clad bikini girls is NOT required. Wow, i did not know such stunning atolls existed and its awesome to check them out on google maps afterwards .. Fair winds Land Lubbers. Aussie in South Africa
from start to finish of this video I've been so greatly moved by the hearts of those of Herve and family/friends and the Parlay crew (as usual because you guys always do for others). I am excited about all Herve's dreams (and his family/partner) and I was thrilled to get to donate to help these goals be reached. I see I'm not alone and it warms my heart to see such support from others as well, Bless You All
What a tragic and amazing story... I have had the opportunity to travel around the world and I always find that people like this are the most humble and kind. You guys looked so happy with your lays on as they celebrated your departure. Thanks again Colin for another wonderful story...
Great episode Colin, I cried with you both, saying goodbye. Crazy how the universe works to connect us for better. Big hugs for your Dad having to go through such a tough time, but look how amazing this whole scenario has evolved. Beautiful connections in the most remote places and now connecting your crew and followers with this family. What a great cause to donate to!! I don't have much but, it feels so good to be helping. Maybe one day we can buy the honey they harvests too 🥰Oh and hey! Welcome Home
Thank you for making this video. I can imagine how emotional it would have been. As we continue to cruise the Tuamotos, we continue to meet the most beautiful people and have amazing experiences. However, we are always reminded of the dangers these atolls have and always proceed with the utmost caution. Your father seems like a remarkable man.
Thanks for sharing! That was an amazing story. Such heart wrenching to loose a boat like that. But the connection for the rest of your life with Herve's family can have no cost. Peace.
Herve hasn't had internet since before this episode aired. I have not been able to get ahold of him. But next time he comes online, he is going to have a heart attack with the number of you who have donated. Thank you all so much for your generosity. You have changed Herve's life. And his 2 kids. Ahoy captain!! I knew you were that good pirate on Below Deck... Thank you for this humbling great story and channel I flukily only stumbled across. Need to get some peeps with the resources together and get them Starlink. That is if he wants it.

Fixing that motor was something else - must have made the owner so happy! :) Great story and episode.
They were so grateful ♥
I rarely or never comment on your vids. I watch most of them. This was the best vid I’ve seen anywhere in a long time.

I’m a sucker for the kindness of those less fortunate who so willingly give. We should all strive to be more generous and loving.
My goodness how emotional was that to watch, Thankyou for sharing that very personal experience with us💕
Thanks for following along 😊
I know I am not the most emotional of men but I confess I shed a few tears watching this. We cannot see the future but we have hope, may you see Herve again.
How could you not support such an amazing project for Herve, such a pure heart 🤗
He really does have the purest heart ❤ thanks for watching!
And now THEY will NEVER forget what you did for them with getting that engine running again. AWESOME Colyn.

Amazing. Thank you for bringing us along and sharing this experience with us. This is why Parley Revival is the best channel on RUclips… and all social media for that matter. 🤙🏻
Aww thanks!
Wow, one of the most heartfelt stories and best people. Made a contribution in the hopes that Herve will have joy and happiness. Thank you for making us a part of this beautiful story.
Thanks for watching and for your support ☺
I fall more in love with the parlay crew and channel every week. Lovely video. Thanks for sharing it all!
Thanks for watching ♥
Touching thank you for inviting me in . I’ve enjoyed every minute of this entire life you let me come along .
you are a good man, Colin. Deserving of a good life. Peace and prayers, brother. The adventure continues
I will rate this your best video even though almost all of them are great!
I would even rate it as the best sailing video of 2023! Congratulations 🎊 and thank you for sharing your story!
We are in Panama 🇵🇦 now remembering what you experienced here a while ago!
Thanks for watching! Enjoy Panama!
Such a moving emotional memory for you.
Holy shnikes, I just clicked over to the GFM and there are over 20K Euros raised! That's going to buy a lot of beehives and kit!
A heart-wrenching episode Colin brought tears to my eyes in South Africa.
Thanks for watching!
Had me in tears! What an amazing experience. The kind, beautiful heart of Herve and his fellow islanders. I'm going to Bee part of Herve's bees!! They'll love him and provide the best honey for him. Great video, one of my favs.
Thanks for watching ♥
If Love and Kindness could spread through the entire world - it would be a better place.
🙂. (the biker with santa gear on it)*
Colin, Thank You for sharing this story. Much love from Canada!
Colin you are a very kind person, that’s why your channel is top notch. You keep it real and fixing that motor for them is priceless.
We dont need much to be happy. This is a powrfull message.
I am sitting here Colin watching your video and I am tearing up for the friendship that you have with this man.
Raw, touching, simplistic, minimalistic, isolated, memories, day by day living, connections.
Just unreal... people who have so little but will share everything. Kudos to you Colin and crew 👏
The most generous people!
WE LOVE U COLIN & JAMIE FAKA LEGENDS... when you got that motor going was everything..... best episode ever....
That’s a heart breaking sea story. Thanks for sharing it Colin and I was so delighted to see the support you brought to those isolated people.
Indeed every Captain's worst nightmare but it turned into a heartwarming friendship ♥
Wow! This is the most heartwarming, inspiring story!! Thank you for sharing this beautiful experience about such beautiful people ❤
Thanks for watching ♥

Waw what a story.. Parlay uses his platform to help others, he is the nautical angel . You touched our heart..with all these amazing stories..❤
Constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust, and hostility to evaporate.
So happy to donate Colin. Such a touching moving episode. Can’t tell you how much I enjoy your channel.
He is going to get a shock when he sees how many of you have generously donated! he hasn't had internet for days now!
Amazing story and to see how genuine and caring the people of the island are is humbling. Have donated and hope Herve gets his beehive
What an absolutely beautiful episode. Thank you for sharing these stories and taking us along. Your generosity and appreciation for people and nature has created a ripple effect that will be felt around the world for years to come. Thank you.
Thank you xx
Watching Parlay Revival is truely inspirational. Colin, Jamie and the crew are real ambassadors to society . Living Life to the maximum while remaining humble . Love watching a channel where the use of scantily clad bikini girls is NOT required. Wow, i did not know such stunning atolls existed and its awesome to check them out on google maps afterwards .. Fair winds Land Lubbers. Aussie in South Africa
Thanks so much for watching and following along ♥
from start to finish of this video I've been so greatly moved by the hearts of those of Herve and family/friends and the Parlay crew (as usual because you guys always do for others). I am excited about all Herve's dreams (and his family/partner) and I was thrilled to get to donate to help these goals be reached. I see I'm not alone and it warms my heart to see such support from others as well, Bless You All
Thank you so much!
Dammit, Colin! You almost made me cry. What an amazing visit. Thanks for sharing!
What a tragic and amazing story... I have had the opportunity to travel around the world and I always find that people like this are the most humble and kind. You guys looked so happy with your lays on as they celebrated your departure. Thanks again Colin for another wonderful story...
Very sweet of you, thanks for watching!
Every bit is going to change Herve's life, thanks so much ♥
Thank you for making this video. I can imagine how emotional it would have been. As we continue to cruise the Tuamotos, we continue to meet the most beautiful people and have amazing experiences. However, we are always reminded of the dangers these atolls have and always proceed with the utmost caution. Your father seems like a remarkable man.
He sure is a remarkable man! Thanks for watching :)
Thanks for sharing! That was an amazing story. Such heart wrenching to loose a boat like that. But the connection for the rest of your life with Herve's family can have no cost.
Peace.
♥
Wow this one was tough 😢so much to learn and absorb. Thanks Parlay fam! Much respect and safe travels
