two actually, the only one that was ever sold was this one in the video (this was the backup car in case the first one broke down) It was because Ferrari pulled these two out of the LeMas at the last minute, then later these were no longer needed so Ferrari kept one and sold THIS one.
The F50 was built to homologate the engine. Ferrari used it in the F333-SP, which was sold for about a $1,000,000 each to people or teams wishing to race them. Ferrari did not factory race the F333-SP themselves.
F355 is very loud, but F50 GT "outnoised" it even from 100m. I just wonder, how it would be to drive F50 GT without headset? Permanent loss of hearing maybe?
F50 GT was at 60% WOT at best in this video. Sounded like he was short shifting most of the time. If he matted it you'd need a telescope to continue filming it. You are some driver regardless!
You're quite a bit off on that--I don't think you know what you're on about, actually. The GT1 has 750hp and weighs exactly one ton; the 355 has 380hp and weighs 1.5 tons, giving the the GT1 a 196% superior power-to-weight ratio. Look, it costs over $1M (US) and the driver was nursing it through the corners.
those are my favorit cars, the 355 for the street and the f50 GT for the racetack. that thing sounds incredible
I now own this F355 ...nice look here through history
Best sounding car ever
thats a sick car, se sound is incrediblie!

nice to see ferrari's on a track for a change--not sitting in the garage gathering dust =)
Warm up lap? I'll bet a lot of money that F50 GT won the actual race, and lapped everyone in the process. Those cars are fucking rockets.

juste insane sound...
Scream like a demon.
You're right! If the F50 was pushing, it would disappear like an asteroid in the sky!
Amazing car.

LOVE THE NOISE!!!
F50 GT1, 750HP... And a very nice sound!
Btw, is the F355 driver that good he can cope up with the GT1?
How many Ferraris have you driven, since you are such an expert on the winningest car manufacturer in Formula 1 history, to think they are overrated?
I MUST HAVE ONE!!!
really nice sound ( floja reducida cuando termina el video pa cagrase 750 hp ) uffff
It is Nurembergring
why do I recognize this track? Where is it?
This video was taken by Doug Hayashi who runs the website www.nsxfiles.com. It's one of my favorite sites.
I would guess that the F50 GT1 is lighter than your average street F355. The F50 wasn't pushing it.
You're quite a bit off on that--I don't think you know what you're on about, actually.

Ok . More noise = more speed
That engine sound is awful, sounds like an F1 car. I prefer deep beastly exhaust notes, like the TVR Cerbera Speed 12.
Cuz Ferraris are very overrated. Good, but completely overrated.
