Very interesting point at around 1:31. I think many people get addicted to surgical procedures because they feel like there is something wrong in their appearence, when in reality their mental health is not in a good state.
Accepting yourself before getting any procedure done, in my opinion, is essential: without self-love, the feeling of satisfaction after surgery expires almost instantly and you will start finding new flaws in your appearance to fix, desperately looking for an happiness you won’t ever find.
Mental health is the first thing! ❤️

I have been to Turkey myself. The considerations: good informative conversations in advance where advice was also given regarding products/therapies. So in addition to the transplant. The transplant itself is carried out in Turkey, but they have a department in the Netherlands that does the intake. In my own environment I know several people who have been to the same clinic and they have had good experiences. Plus they were doctors who were only concerned with this subject. So it wasn't a side job. I have to be honest, it went great for me: communication was great, treatment was easy to endure and progress is well monitored (sometimes to the point of being annoying). If I need a second treatment, I will go to the same clinic in Turkey again. Only disadvantage: traveling. I didn't really feel the need to act like a tourist after the transplant. Ps: I had my text translated from Dutch to English via Google Translate.

I think there should be some therapy for people considering surgery BEFORE undergoing surgery. Therapy should help the patient understand why the surgery is desired, realistic expectations of the results, and how you will accept the new YOU as well as the reactions of others. I had a few surgeries and the results were awesome. They were almost TOO awesome because the new people who were concentrating their focus on me (who I felt would not have given me the time of day before) was just so .... alien. I had come to feel like I was cosplaying as a better version of myself and that was what everyone was reacting to. It's so hard to describe in a paragraph- but I think talking to more people with professional intuition might have set me up for a healthier experience and I wish to share that hindsight with others.

Hello from Europe. There are SUPER good/bad hair transplant Dr`s in Turkey and USA or any country. 17 years ago I searched a talented rhinoplasty Dr from USA and narrowed down to few and flew for consultation. I chosen a facial plastic surgeon in Omaha, that only does faces, mostly noses and people fly to him from all over the world. My nose turned out ok, not great, as it has slight parrot deformity and nostril retraction. All these years I contemplated to have it corrected but did not bother until now this year Im going to see revision specialist in Armenia.

Lol I got my Turkish hair transplant today.
I do regret it slightly but want to trust the process.
    Here are the red flags:
    1. I saw a surgeon in Canada before who insisted I can only lower my hairline by 1.5 cm and 1600 grafts because of where my facial muscle is. I told them that and they said maximum 2cm .... tell me why I ended up with 3cm and 2000 grafts?!
    2. We agreed on a minimum area to shave, they certainly shaved a lot more, almost a third of my hair and I have a big head.
    3. They didn't numb me properly and had to go in and add more anesthesia mid surgery.
    4. The surgeon was only a facade and the surgery was performed by 3 technicians.
    5. The main technician would pick up her unsanitized phone at least 10 times while working on my open wound to answer all kinds of personal phone calls or change the music. When I asked her about she said she is using a headphone but I can hear her pick up the phone and put it down. One time even asked one of the other technicians to hand it over to her from a definitely not sterilized table where everyone put their stuff on.
    6. She was too distracted with the phone and with chatting with the other guys to pay attention to what she was doing and that's how I ended up with a lower hairline than agreed.
    7. Oh yeah the window of the room was open the whole time where fume and dust from the street would come in.
Anyway it's definitely insane, if I knew beforehand I probably wouldn't have done it.
If it's too good to be true it's because it is.
All I can do right now is to just hope for the best 🤷‍♀️. And hope the cost of the compromise is not too high.
In Canada it was going to cost me $10,000 which probably meant I could never do it. Anyway be careful out there guys. Definitely meticulously research the surgeon and clinic. Also, communicate to the coordinator all your concerns and requirements before you book your ticket.

So it's not about country. I've seen turists come here for back alley treatments and surgery. Or brazillians going to neighbor countries to do the same. People celebrate a “boob jobs”,as an enhancement and it is pretty much normalized, I don’t know about the other surgeries(Although I think they probably have the same status),but there’s so many other types of cosmetic surgery and people kind of readily admit and accept that(Frankly I think that whatever person wants to do with their body is their a choice and their right). Many actors and musicians, and such are usually subject to this type of thinking because what they need to do, in theory is to prolong their luxe in order to continue gaining monetarily or in status, which to me seems like a sad thing because it doesn’t seem like you’re living your “right life”, or that is to say your own “true life”. it’s a hard business, Not made easier by those in the upper echelon who hold”the whip hand”, requiring that their performers continue to maintain a certain status quo in order to garner more monetary gain for their coffers

@@dk1828 it’s a bit hard to say, as men who take the drugs go bald due to DHT sensitivity. Most women don’t go bald due to DHT but other factors.

@@oneluv11 yeah this is hard. Overall, I think Turkish clinics have had a bad reputation lately, probably worse than they deserve because they offer good prices and competition so I see lots of bias. for me it’s easier as I had a Turkish grandparent and speak the language and have family and friends there. I know there are extremely well-trained, professional clinicians and modern hospitals there. and same quality can be found at much better prices especially now because their currency is so weak, even the weakening dollar is like gold. But like you say, indeed, it is hard to distinguish from dodgy clinics that also exist (everywhere).
I haven’t had a procedure there though I did talk to a few of doctors. Almost all my friends and family have had either some kind of surgery or at least injections and stuff done. Most of them no complications, very good results. I did also see some overdone people when I visited, but I see them here too. When I’m thinking about getting something done, I will research through my family and friends, as well as look up the background of the doctors and see where they have been trained, which hospitals they work with, etc. I wish there were reliable ways of sharing this information so we could know from locals which clinics/drs are more professional and qualified in different countries like Turkey, Mexico, etc etc. like real self but more data and actually real…
You can also ask about how they do things in a video interview, which can give you a sense of mill type operations vs involved dr(s) - fyi, the free consultation appointment is likely to be with a nurse or assistant than plastic surgeon; you typically have to pay an appointment fee to talk to a surgeon and if you decide to have a procedure it goes toward that. in the U.S. where I live sometimes you can have a free consultation appointment with the actual surgeon; that’s not common there.
hope this helps a bit. If you have someone in mind I can take a look or ask around if anyone has knowledge quickly - good luck !

guess I won’t be trusting this channel again!! already was suspect trying to badmouth an entire nation where things are cheaper because of the weakness of the currency not because they don’t have medical schools and drs there. I should know I am a medic and teach med school as a prof in the U.S.! I’ll still go to tr if I need any plastic surgery cos I can.

Dr. why does the singer Jewel Kilcher look so different, is it just age or plastic surgery. Its almost like how Renee Zellweger looked so different but Jewel's new look is still nice but I feel the distinct original Jewel is gone.

Women can accept if her man is losing his hair.
A woman wants to be center of attention in the relationship. If the man fuss over his looks and hair. She not happy. She is content if she has more hair.
A guy losing hair can be sexy to a woman . If he keeps it clean, tidy and odor free.

One last point that Tom has me asking questions whenever I see issues like this is, why is it that with all the technology that we have and all the “wonderful innovations “that we have introduced into our heretofore artificial environment and existences, haven’t we come up with a science to solve this problem? I think it’s not even the adults that I am concerned with, so much as some of the kids that I work with that I’ve been burned in fires or suffered maladies and have caused him to lose her hair and other things? To me that would be a wonderful thing, if in fact it is such a necessary thing in terms of A person “psyche”. Some of the most beautiful people that I have met have actually nobody here and they are just not only physically but spiritually just awesome and you can see that just like talking to them and looking at them, it is inspiring and of course it’s something that is subject to interpretation by the viewer but nonetheless a part of our life
