An actual masterpiece. I remember at 16 when this came out, we said it was the best Sum 41 song made. This song has grown even more powerful over time.
Agreed there!!! I’ve always wanted to see Sum 41. For like 2-3 years I would randomly check their tour dates, & they were always in Europe or a far away country! I was like….what the heck!? Do they not like America 😂😂probably. But I spoke of this recently, & someone pulled up their concert tickets in my city - next week. I was unprepared for that short of notice hahaha. Definitely wanting to see them next year or the end of this year!
Agreed
Still the best song! 🤘😁 I listen to it maybe once every year or two so I don't get sick of it.
I listen to it almost every day, is the best, you right.
I turned off sum 41 at the start this erra but this song is more relevant than ever

Sum 41 goes metal.
they've always been metal
The Poppins No, they have not. They started out as pop punk. Recently they've gotten more metal again, but that doesn't change the fact that initially they were NOT metal.
No you are wrong
The Poppins No, I'm right, you just have no idea what you are talking about. Prove that Sum 41's first album was metal, not pop punk. Sorry to break it to you, but "Makes No Difference" and "Fat Lip" are in no way heavy metal.
ganondorfchampin No, I am right. You are wrong
"...When all we need is something true to believe.
Don't we all?"
Those words still hit hard.
I could be listening to this song mindlessly cleaning & putting a full effort into something physically, & when those lyrics hit - I always just stop & appreciate that. Literally I’ll just either sit/stand there & listen, let it soak in, then the screaming drop starts again & I begin scrubbing or back to whatever 😂😂
great song to help young men to become more man to digest reality and asent past it.

As much as the song is heard from Godzilla Final Wars. The lyrics have a timeless message in them. As, there isn't one person to blame for the world going worse recently as the title says. Hence, the world going worse is caused by a number of factors and not just one person or thing.
Thats why the song named we're all to blame
Not to mention it fits the message of the original godzilla movie perfectly. Which is probably why it was used in final wars.

Glad to know I wasn't the only one who thought of System of a Down when listening to this killer song.
There are two tipe of people:
1:The few ones that know this song
2: Most persons that are here because godzilla recks a random lizard
i actually came here for both reasons.
It was on Godzilla?
Actually this song is also in a football (soccer) videogame
I first heard this song on Godzilla, up until recently I've only known Fat Lip and In Too Deep but then thought I'd listen to all of the bands other stuff after years of only knowing those 2 songs, then when I got to this 3rd album and this song started I was like "OH SHIT! This is the song in Final Wars where Godzilla decemates that piece of shit Zilla!" didn't realise that song was Sum 41 in all of the times I've seen that film.
So I'm here because I'm interested in the band and want to hear all of their stuff (and I'm so glad I did because this band is far more awesome than I previously thought, 4 albums in and 4 albums without a single song I dislike), but once I got here I recognised the song from my love of Godzilla.
Not "Random" it's Zilla.
I was 19 when this album came out. I'm now 38. This album has been part of literally half my life. Still one of my favorite albums by any artist ever released. Truly a masterpiece.

What the hell. How could I live on this planed for more than a decade without knowing about this perfect song? Everything is on spot, including the dancers. One of the great Anti-Bush Anti-war songs of the early 2000's. So depressing that a lot of what they were singing about is still relevant.
Zero Cool Ironically about 2001-2015 US presidents are ALWAYS supported by the American people. While Iraqis are suffering.

@@johnilarde8440have you been to Iraq? I have, multiple times. The average Iraqi is grateful and supportive of American efforts in their nation. Do they have some criticism about some of it, sure as they should. However with the exception of the areas ravaged by Isis, the nation is booming with prosperity among the middle class.
War is a necessary evil. Saddam and the Iraqis deserve just as much blame as America and her presidents. That's what the song is about. We're all to blame.

lyrics:
Take everything left from me
All!
To!
Blame!
How can we still succeed, taking what we don't need?
Telling lies, alibis, selling all the hate that we breed.
Supersize our tragedies! (You can't define me or justify greed)
Bought in the land of the free! (Land! Free!)
And we're all to blame,
We've gone too far,
From pride to shame,
We're trying so hard,
We're dying in vain,
We're hopelessly blissful and blind
To all we are,
We want it all with no sacrifice!
Realize we spend our lives living in a culture of fear.
Stand to salute; say thanks to the man of the year.
How did we all come to this? (You can't define me or justify greed)
This greed that we just can't resist! (Resist!)
And we're all to blame,
We've gone too far,
From pride to shame,
We're trying so hard,
We're dying in vain,
We're hopelessly blissful and blind
To all we are,
We want it all.
Everyone wants it all with no sacrifice!
Tell me now, what have we done? We don't know.
I can't allow what has begun to tear me down,
Believe me now, we have no choice left with our
Backs against the wall!
And now we're all to blame,
We've gone too far,
From pride to shame,
We're hopelessly blissful and blind
When all we need
Is something true
To believe,
Don't we all?
Everyone, everyone,
We will fall.
'Cause we're all to blame
We've gone too far,
From pride to shame,
We're trying so hard,
We're dying in vain,
We want it all,
Everyone, don't we all?
Why just tell me why

Infinitely better than majority of rappers today
MF DOOM, Tyler The Creator, Kendrick Lamar, Earl Sweatshirt, MIKE, JPEGMAFIA, Danny Brown, there everywhere, you just gotta be open to new genres and look in the right places before dismissing it because it’s rap
getting a strong soad feel from this song
That's exactly what I was thinking!
yeah thats cuz the verse is basically the forest riff from soad and the hook is like the chop suey one, still a fuckin good song with a message more important than ever these days imo
The whole album gives a similar vibe, compare "The Bitter End" to Metallica's "Battery" or "Pieces" to the Cranberries' "Zombie" for some of the strongest examples. I also get strong hints of Linkin Park, Papa Roach and Oasis from some of the other tracks but the two I mentioned and We're All To Blame are probably the most blatant examples.
I don't think it reflects badly on the Sum 41, previous albums have had tributes or "near-covers" (compare "WWVII Part II" from Does This Look Infected to G'n'R's Civil War.)
gearwhizz yess soad's "chop suey" and "we're all too blame" do have a similar sound, but no way dude "pieces" and cranberries "zombie" sounds nothing alike bro...
pretty much every song of this genre is like that, they have aggresive parts, then calm parts... if you listen carefuly they're all the same shit
Loved them since middle school. Growing up(26 now) + seeing the st state of the nation and the world + understanding the mess we've gotten ourselves into + realizing truly how grim our future is going to be + the extreme nostalgia brought on wen i think "my life is halfway over" and wishing i had payed attention wen i had the time and chance = ...a feeling of sadness and guilt i cant even begin to describe...a feeling that opens your eyes and hits you so hard that it brings tears to ur eyes bcuz u know ull never be ok again...

I facepalm so hard everytime I watch this video and see people asking about the dancers. You are exactly the kind of people the song talks about. The song has a strong sociopolitical statement about how we are fucking ourselves over because of our greed and inability to see the bigger picture. We are easily distracted by superficial things, petty entertainment(like the dancers), fear campaigns and our pride as "the mighty rulers of the earth". We like to believe we are good people and put all the blame on governments, industries, crime and war-mongers but WE'RE ALL TO BLAME.
A lot of things have changed since the time this song/video was released but we still have a lot to do. Not saying this song changed the world, but this video nails the problem perfectly with it's lyrics and imagery.
v zxt ta bien zi
Alright get off your damn high horse, jeez.
nice essay bro
How coming from asking about the dancers have to do about crimes and shits ?
Do you realize that dancers dancing in the background usually have to work hard, I think it's great if they get some recognition for their hard work..
I never even watch MV when listening to music so I didn't even notice there were dancers, but for people who are interested in dancing, what's wrong by asking their names ?
You are seeing evil in everything.. such a gloomy way of seeing life.
How's middle school going?
Sum41 are prophets exposing lies.
Amazing how actual this is.
I'm sure the song is dead serious but the dancers are just killing the mood
Patrick O’Gara - I think that’s the point. Don’t let the dancers distract you. Think of the imagery used in the “This is America” music video.
@@P_fromTheValley exactly
