We gotta get away from the idea that beta tests are marketing opportunities, that's just a bad take I'm afraid. The idea of making them super powerful and then them getting nerfed also isn't great because you just guarantee disappointment. Let betas be betas, if they didn't need to test stuff they just wouldn't.
It might be a beta but as Daren pointed out, it's also a commercial for the expansion. You can test things internally but as soon as it hits the wide public and so close to release date it advertises a product, whether they want it or not. And it was a hopeless one.
@@TheTrawojad Anything Anet releases, community notes, etc., is always a commercial for a new or upcoming release. It serves a purpose to bring in new players.:)
i only liked the Ele spear, and that also only for Stationary Fights, because kinda hard to pre-fire those skills in wvw/pvp. At that point i prefer the Staff. But the Design is kinda nice
I honestly stopped caring. Even though this expansion has the homestead which is a nice feature I guess for ppl that care for it and it has the spears. Soto just burnt me out man. It was such a boring expansion and the above mentioned things don't excite me at all

Far too many have forced running. But its the beta, it'll take time to fix it. Most of the fixes will come after release.

Ele spear "having no dmg but being fun"....surely they won't keep it in a situation like staff for dps players, right? Right?
na I doubt they will, they are new weapons for a reason they will probably be op at launch
