Titus Orelius Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind is one of those romances. Sure the trailer was shit but the story wasn't. Anyone that has seen it enjoyed it. And if you do decide to watch it and don't like it, then I guess it's whatever. But what I'm asking you is that you won't regret it.

+Xmc Stewart maybe, btw he did a very good job in this weird movie! hahaha, but for me this is one of the good movie I've ever seen because it takes me to another different level of perception about love and relationship! plus, Emmy Rossum was so hot and beautiful as well in this movie, thats another strong attraction for me to keep watching this movie over and over again.

I do have my own point of view, I just wanna know from others since I've read few viewer's conclusion about the real ending, some of them said the one and only real scene in this movie is the first scene when Kim and Dell first met by chance at meteor shower while other scenes are just like an illusion, imagination or flashback something like that, so what do you think?

That's how I feel!!! Love the shit out of this movie!!
I've been thinking about the ending countless times and I've reached my hypothesis that the whole last scene at the rooftop was not real and that the possibility of them being together is more real. There's a couple of signs that points me to this. First of all, the most common and obvious sign that a lot of people point out is the 2 suns in the background indicating that Dell is dreaming at the moment. Another is the mention of the dream that Dell had where he wanted her to leave Jack and he went in to kiss her and he woke up which is exactly how the ending played out. Then the last sign in which most people might not recall is that earlier in the movie, Kimberly said she got raped by the quarterback of the football team in which Dell quickly concluded was a lie. Kimberly said she told that lie in order to get her lie over with. Dell then said that it doesn't work that way and that "you gotta wait until I'm in a completely vulnerable position where I really fall for it" and that the problem with relationships is that you can change the other person. So that leads me to believe that Kimberly's statement that she is pregnant is a lie because Dell at that point was completely vulnerable and by the end of the conversation, you can see that Dell had changed from a person who at first did not believe love was real into now, a person who thinks life isn't real without love. If anyone would like to expand on my hypothesis or tell me what they think about the ending, please do tell. Would love to hear what you guys think about the ending.
My hypothesis is that he got hit by the car at the beginning and he is just living his waking life (a reference from the movie 'Waking Life', it's really a good film btw). So yes, I believe that he is just dreaming everything and yes those scenes are going to happen in his future, just like how every scene in his dream came true in his waking life wherein he says that he wakes up when they're supposed to kiss in the end, but this knowledge of his won't change anything (again maybe a reference from another movie 'Eternal Sunshine..."), because people are people and love may not be complex but the people involve in it are. The dream narrative near the end is just too good. This is a really well thought film and the ending for me was perfect. Yes, the concepts in this film may not be really original, but WTH, the director/writer presented a fresh perspective on an idea that most people don't want to accept, that sometimes love is like a Comet - some loves are meant to fall apart.

I'm in love with an idealized version of love, in love with love, but society dictates too much what a relationship is, how it should and can work, what people are supposed to want, how they're supposed to behave, for an actual love relationship to be sustainable. There's too much getting in the way, even simple biology. Loving everyone instead of just someone is easier. I can only fall in love with a girl in my dreams, the only place where nothing constraints that love. Waking up can be heartbreaking.

One of the greatest romantic movies of all time!
Every once in awhile a film comes along & changes the way you look at films. This is that film for me, it's amazingly well done. I'm glad my girlfriend made me watch this cause I absolutely fell in love with it.
Definitely a movie that everyone needs to see. It is by far my favorite movie. They captured the reality of love in this move quite well. It is a fantastic movie. My God. I mean just look at this. It is better than most other romantic movie/tv shows. A work of art if you ask me. I say that the trailer definitely lives up to the movie.
This movie holds a huge piece of my heart.
I never trusted love or film I never did but once I was so bored and I watched this.... I was just 16 since then I never stopped believing in love and film. Now I aspire to be a filmmaker and to love everything which will love me back...
This movie also taught me that there's good music around this world..

I can't describe how muuuuch I LOVED THIS MOVIE.When you see movies with this QUALITY ,whit this GREAT CAST and THE WHOLE GREAT SET UP you realize how much we lack of these movies now days.NOTHING LIKE THE USUAL CORNY ROMANTIC MOVIE(which by the way are cool sometimes,but SO BORING others). They should make more of these.THESE ARE WORTH WATCHING! AND YES I CRIED A LOT AT THE END. OH MY GOD. I am so happy I saw it . HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!!!!! If anybody knows or have come across movies so good like this one please let me know. I would appreciate your time!!

There are very few movies I will watch and as soon as they're finished I will want to start watching again, literally straight away. This is one of those movies

saw this movie today. I loved it more than "500 Days of Summer" which I totally love. My heart was on a rollercoaster watching this movie. It was so happy and so sad. Amazing writing and acting and visuals. All around amazing
I dont know how, but Dell talks to her like i would talk to girls if they were crazy and interesting enough to get me, he understands me. And she's the kind of girl i want, it's not all about how she looks, but how she follows his thoughts. That's why i love this movie, everything is just too obvious for me. It's like he said "maybe i'm not from this world".

This is one of those brilliant and somewhat avant garde films which stays within you always. A wildly underrated gem that has the perfect casting and is a well balanced mix of drama, comedy, romance and surrealism. It has that independent film feel to it which is great as it is a true indie film and the music.. Ohhh don't get me started! MAGNIFIQUE!! I love Comet!

Really forget all the negative comments. This was a very very good movie. It was one of those movies where you want to see them end up together, and it doesn't really end up that way. but the ending was somewhat satisfying. I don't really get chocked up during movies, but the line " Why's it feel so impossible to let you go" got to me.
Great movie though. Please give it a chance.

Brilliant and emotional movie that brings on a lot of questions, but that's what I love about it. Instead of just sitting there watching as a couple goes through all of life's trials and then makes up in the end, you're thinking hard throughout the movie and at the end you're just like what e actual heck just happened...

I just read about the directors interview, that he said that there's like 2 ending ( 2 parallel universe ) the real one and the dream one , and the remaining 4 ( parallel universe ) are just like riddles that will ruin your mind in the middle of th movie , and its up to you depending on what view you want to take.

am i the only person who thinks kimberely was going to tell Dell all that pregnancy/ wedding stuff on the roof was her 'Big Lie' towards the end? It feels like the whole thing has gone a full circle because she cut him off when he wanted to propose to her and the same happened here, only the one in the end was not as 'damaging' i guess..?
This is the kind of movie that you see it at some point and then...after a while, scenes and quotes keep coming back. The kind of movie that stays and speaks to you at another level

Well, most of the comments on this say exactly what I want to say. This is one of the best romantic movies I've ever seen. Visually captivating, with a unique telling of the story and is very well-written. Like everyone has already pointed out, it is reminiscent of 500 Days of Summer and Eternal Sunshine. If you are looking for a movie like that, I cannot recommend this enough.
This film is more of a moving piece of art and the amazing sound track just rounds it off

I have yet to see this film. But had to watch this trailer twice. Reminded me of the film Mr. Nobody, which is one of my favorites! Except as vast and complex as that film was. From this trailer this film seems to accomplish very similar themes and concepts yet keep it incredibly intimate. Also my loneliness yearns for that feeling of love and movies have always been the only place I’m able to sample that feeling and help me escape for a while... into another universe.

this movie is definitely worth watching it make you wonder if all the what ifs in relationships and how much different we would have become I've had dreams of different scenarios which made me relate to how it could have been if I had made the other decision.
