Great video! I've been operating vending machines since March 2022. Started with one bought cash and a year later bought another all through Facebook Marketplace. Currently sitting at 8 vending machines that I am operating.
My mom & I recently visited my friend at one of the private hospitals and we looked for that vending machine and we ddnt find any and I thought how is it possible that it's no longer there... I guess that's God showing me my other side hustle😂. THANKS MISS K!! U really the girl u think u are!! #need a side hustle? # ASK MISS K!!
😂😂🤭🤭🤭 there’s your sign ke my sis!! Do reach out to these entities cause they also do send an email with a full price list (I received the list after posting the video).
A very informative review of the vending machine business 💯. When you touched on location I thought you were also going to add on the security aspect of the business. Back in varsity UKZN(Howard campus)some guys used to bypass the machine and give free chocolates to their girlfriends😅. Best you locate your machine close to the guards or near the camera's for extra safety👍🏽
🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭 you just unlocked a memory I had forgotten about: once someone’s chocolate got stuck mid-way (high school) and the girl kicked the machine in anger AND THE COVER CAVED IN. the next 2-3 days people were collecting free snacks from the shelves they could reach 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭. so THANK YOU for raising those security concerns. that’s actually a really key consideration 🔑. Thank you for watching Nkosi ☺️🙏🏾 we appreciate your contribution 🫱🏽🫲🏾
I would times find that very same vending machine in shepstone building full. Ngiqhwande oR5😂for printing, vele yayisuke isigcwele they were hanging out by the slot
I use one this year at JHB Hospital. Unfortunately i did not have a pleasant experience because it required old notes & i had no coins with me. It could have been nice and efficient if they had card payment.
That’s the thing 😭 even with these old machines I’m not sure if they’ll accept the new notes recently released so definitely something to think about before buying second hand.
🫱🏽🫲🏾 nice!! But still definitely a while ago like me (2020) which really makes me think that mayyyybe this might not be the best use of money if you’re looking for a side hustle urgently. Thanks for watching and contributing Eugene ✨
I’ve never used a vending machine I always have a fear that I won’t get my money or what I’m buying back😩😩😩😩…very informative Kuhle as always.Thank you🙏… Family don’t forget to watch ads our girl got to make some coins🙏🙏
I’m seeing a lot of dropshippers moving into the vending machine business these days. 😁 Might try it out one day. 😂Since the video for ins and out just got here.✨Problem, I don’t have a taxi industry attitude to protect my own.🤣🤣
😂🤭👀 I wonder what’s causing them to move from dropshipping to this new venture. I guess time will tell. (I do think that sometimes people consume a lot of America content and try implement it bar-for-bar in South Africa, however sometimes it doesn’t work like that).
I once serviced a vending machine in a Private hospital and a college around my area. Their spares are very expensive, my client ended up giving up on them.
A new vending machine should atleast make five years and more without a problem(good brands like Jofemar, kiosoft and etc), second hands are hard to tell. On my experience they only require parts replacement not part repair, to give another long production.
Thank you for the info. The other side hustle I am think of is a water business, since the water in the Vaal is deemed "contaminated" I think the water business will do so much better... Your thoughts?
Ooooh this seems interesting especially since you’ve identified the need for “clean” water. Definitely might be worth looking into. I would suggest (before going for it) understand first if people are actually willing to pay for bottled water. Then also understand if people are collecting or if you’re delivering. I know in Cape Town the water here is also known to not be good for drinking so a lot of us will buy 5L water when doing groceries. And then use those same 3 bottles to refill water for cheaper at the grocery store (like food lovers or checkers) cause they have like filtered water and you pay 99c / R1 per litre (so essentially bring your old 5L and pay R5 for more water). Hope this makes sense. See (if the capital allows) if you can’t get your local store to do that too and maybe you would supply the filtering machine / clean water 👀.
😂😂🫶🏾 khul’leka mnganami akukho smanga but for you?? I’ll make sure we find a vending machine and give you that experience. (👀 you can also just visit any private hospital - they usually have vending machines there).
Thank you for the information much appreciated. I have a vending machine for snacks and drinks it accepts coins and notes. It has not been in use for almost 5 years. If anyone is looking to buy please contact me. I bought it for 45k I am selling it 20k.
@@zamaduma9854 The business I used to operate it in moved all the staff to Booysens leaving less than 5 employees and that made it impossible for me to restock it. I have ever since stopped looking for sites to install it.

Hi i may be late with my comment but id like to ask, is it possible to place vending machines in schools?
Yes you are ☺️ just might have to go through a bit of forms / pitch to them but it’s possible
