Consider the Lilies

Consider the lilies of the field,
How they grow, how they grow.
Consider the birds in the sky,
How they fly, how they fly.
He clothes the lilies of the field.
He feeds the birds in the sky.
And He will feed those who trust Him,
And guide them with His eye.
Consider the sheep of His fold,
How they follow where He leads.

He knows the meadows where they feed.

Who must suffer on this earth.

My son’s home just suffered a terrible fire which damaged every room inside and some treasured items such wedding photos and personal belongings; though thankfully the structure and frame/shell stood, so repair is possible. They were away on vacation, so they will return ‘home’ without the familiar home and beds to rest ; in a sense, become homeless.
As I was looking for material or messages for my other son’s two young granddaughters (age 8 & 6) to write or draw something in order to show love, care and support for their 3 cousins who are facing this sudden challenge in life, I encountered this piece of Scripture based, truth-infused, heart touching song ! I am so amazed that our gracious Lord prepares everything that we need for all life’s situations, even upon and after finishing the journey on earth. God is in control even when we seem to suffer to various degrees but nothing can supersede His grace and mercy. Praise & thankfulness be to our Lord.
