Is Jesus Christ canon in Hunter x Hunter?

Christ the redeemer, our lord and savior, the son of god and the messiah. Of course, I am talking about none other than Jesus Christ, the main protagonist in the world's most popular manga series, the bible. Despite being shorter than many other series as it only has two volumes, the bible is by far the most popular manga in human history, and its impact was much greater than even the likes of one piece and dragon ball.
Even outside of his own series, Jesus has also shown up in many other manga and anime as either a background character or through more obscure references, like a cross pendant or a line from the bible. hunter hunter is one of these shows. If you don't know, hunter hunter is a shonen series about a young boy named Gon who sets off on a journey to become a hunter and to find his dad. Now despite this show being set in an entirely different world than ours, with its own very unique history, there are actually quite a few references to the bible, and the show itself has many religious characters in general. This dichotomy then presents the question: Is Jesu sChrist canon in hunter hunter?
