අද වන විට ශ්‍රී ලංකාව තුල අධිරුධිර පීඩනය සඳහා බහුලවම භාවිතාවන ඖෂධයක් වන ලොසාර්ටන් පොටැසියම් ( losartan pottasium ) ගැන සරලව සවිස්තරාත්මකව ඔබව මේ විඩීයෝව තුලින් දැනුවත් කිරීමට අපි බලාපොරොත්තු වෙනවා.
Losartan potassium is a medication primarily used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and certain cases of diabetic nephropathy. It belongs to the class of angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs), functioning by selectively blocking the binding of angiotensin II to its receptors. This leads to vasodilation of blood vessels and a reduction in aldosterone release, ultimately decreasing blood pressure and exerting protective effects on the kidneys in diabetic patients.
Indications:
Hypertension: Losartan potassium is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension, alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents.
Diabetic Nephropathy: It is used to manage diabetic nephropathy in patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension.
