my HP Laptop was updated to Plasma 6 with latest KDE Neon Testing, iso is 2 days old from 12th March. But i stumpled upon severe bugs, stick with Plasma 5, by now!
What about Plasma 6 mobile?
Is Stupid This Wayland Buggage while we Should improve X11
Reinventing the wheel is just the theme in the Linux world.
X11 > Wayland
init.d > systemd
Regular package manager > Snap/Flatpak
alsa > pulseaudio > pipewire
GNOME > COSMIC DE
no matter what linux distro i install on my custom made pc. it have one issue with linux, audio popping sound. at first i thought it has something to do with the audio servers like pipwire but when i reported the bug to them they told me it's the problem with the linux kernel. and the issue still exist in the latest mainline kernel. i just comment here just to let any linux maintainer see it and try to fix it ( i hope ) . I have a Gigabyte A320M-S2H motherboard with AMD athlong 200GE apu. and got no dedicated graphics card or sound card installed. i am an audiophile , so this is important. i'm trying to switch to linux so that i can try making beats with DAWs like bitwig , reaper, qtractor etc. or else i just have to buy an audio interface
Do the pops happen at the start of sound activity? I had this issue on my laptop. I fixed it by disabling power saver for the sound device.
@@ruulrskybound6713 yes, it's exactly what it seems to be happening
Does remote assistance work?
KDE plasma 6 is the only os to offer true HDR support
What video editor are you using?
For this video it was Kdenlive, in general I use Davinci Resolve.
Is NEON a Distro or NOT? I have to say my experience with neon is by far the best than other kde distros. Saying it is not a distro is wired and sad.
It absolutely is. My speculation is the dev deny it for legal reasons, like *well well, it's technically not a distro so we're not responsible bla bla..*
if kde plasma gets an overview function like gnome then I would also switch
check the video time stamps 👏
it did!
Is it using pure Wayland by default and not XWayland
XWayland is a compatibility layer for running X11 apps in Wayland. Its not its own thing separate from Wayland, its part of it.
XWayland only works for apps that do not have native Wayland support.
can u share ur wallpaper in high quality.
it’s default wallpaper of KDE
Switching back to Windows, that's great!
Is that EDGE I see..
Upgrading to it from 5.27 on Arch Linux is rain of crashes and just not a good experience and ruined even the system tray let alone Wayland session is not working at all
Im glad you are using Edge because use what you want and dont give a fk what others think(especially considering this is focused on Linux community)
Fedora is just great! Everithing works for me and I'm very happy to say bye to windows
Ppl talking about compiz cube like grown people can't enjoy it should stop being so smug. It's fun.
For a second I thought the audio was AI generated😅. But then I saw the pin comment. I still feel like there are some bugs here and there so I will wait. My next distro will be fedora kinoite. great video btw!
Why does the audio sound Ai generated
Unfortunately I can't use Wayland because of Nvidia. Explicit sync is a bitch!
Ditch Nvidia!
TechHut redemption arc
👍Yes!
[Cries in Arch]
btw
I'm about to join the collective. I just want hyprland too badly!
?
what happened?
@@purplelord8531 Arch for some reason is very slow when it comes to updating DEs, usually takes 2-3 weeks before a new version is available on stable branch.
I think its available if you enable the testing repo.
Can confirm its available in testing repos, im using it now
its still nowhere near as consistent as gnome... and I just don't understand why, why its so easy for a talented team to figure out an amazing desktop environment but have no idea how to border a radius consistently!
Qt is pronounced like "cute", not as separate letters like "Q-T"
Amazing video
Ms Edge..?!?! Another one; why not mention the weird mouse offset  It looks all buggy to me. And I 'm not a fan of the breeze icons.
I will stick with Sway for now.
Your voice sounded like AI generated 😂
Lotta glitching in the video.
it adds spice (lol)
Plasma 6 is nice, but not ready for me. Plus Gnome is just too reliable to fully give up.
This is irrelevant but you're the first person on the Internet I've heard say "Ubuntu" the correct way.
I'm South African...its a South African word so I approve lol
Did you use AI modulating for the voice? I hate it whatever it is
we are so back
its over
Praised be THE CUBE !!!! Praised be Burn my Windows !!!! ^^
actual edge user?
no way hello edge bro
