Great stuff! After 30 years you have started the unravel the mystery of how to play this....Brilliant stuff.
Wow. Thanks for this. Not just for the great lesson, but for your obvious love of this song, made clear by how you broke down the different harmonies. This is epic to me. One of my favorite songs that my guitar playing self has never learned.
Thanks Susan, glad it helped
Well, I'll just repeat what "spkeman" said 4 years ago in the comments: "sweet Baby Jesus, you've done it." It's like climbing a mountain, and you've demonstrated to us lessor mortals how to climb it as well. One of the greatest songs of the rock era, and you've broken it down for us. Thank you !!!
Nice job, one of my all time favorite songs ! Period
Thanks!
thank you for your generosity and time. Great work.
That was a real treat...
Thank you for your time
Thank you mate for the tutorial, you made my day!
Well done. Really appreciate that background vocals too!
I’ve had Life Seeker and Würm pretty much down pat for a while now, I’m going to have to force myself to learn hybrid picking one of these days and complete the tune. Then I can start on Clap as well.
This is fantastic. I must have watched Steve Howe's video dozens of times, but the quality was such that I couldn't see what which fingers were doing what.
Yes I did as well before I recorded it on my other channel- thanks Adam!
Thanks so much! I can finally play this song
Gold mine! thanks
that guitar sounds incredible!!
imbicil
great tutorial. loved your format and presentation. nicely done!
Many thanks!
Sweet baby Jesus, you've done it! So rousing to see someone deconstruct the genius of Yes, and Steve Howe! This is an exercise in persistence, patient, and of possessing an appreciation and sense of "real music". The "mainstream" world has yet to realize just how great Yes was in their heyday. Thank you for this.
Extremely helpful beyond measure! You are commended for your time. I checked over and over to make absolutely sure...I must let you know that the acoustic was a little out of tune but, because you were so thorough with notation , it was still easy to follow. you should have a site! Thank you for this!
Excellent, thanks!
You sing very well
I've watched the whole video I love the song too
John Anderson is one of the best of the best. Love it.
Thanks so much for sharing this! Great voice man... and thanks for the chords. Cheers from Chicago! Best, -Z
The vocal part was real helpful breaking that down. Glad you included it. Also to anyone struggling with the hybrid picking I highly recommend trying tux guitar, it’s a free guitar pro program and you can find tabs to breakdown different songs and play along with. Anyways, breaking down the hybrid picking and playing a long with tabs real slow helped as well as watching others play.
Great video
Great, enormous, Thanks a lot from Madrid, Spain.
I hit the sub button so hard I almost pushed it through the screen.
Just discovered this channel. I truly wish i could do this, but I am content to enjoy the talent required to achieve this. Perhaps a bass lesson on the Rickenbacker next with an explanation about the uniqueness of the Rick and why it's sound is so distinct.
thank you!
Lol u again! I commented u did something fantastic can’t remember wat it was but this is deadly well done
ZOMG thank you so muuuuuch!!
Awesome Tutorial! Great Job! Only complaint would be disillusion section was a little hard to follow, anyway you can tab it out? or go over it a little slower?
Thanks
How do you approach soloing to the outro? It seems to be in two keys / modes
ha . . . what did you say at 15:40?
Great lesson. Are you related to Jay Leno?
gracias por tu tutorial, pero en el minuto 4:28 tu pones en pantalla el acorde X75777 pero tu tocas X77777,el 5 no existe
Why dont you say the chords as you are playing them?!? Im trying to chart this but I can't find the chords :(
Why do you have to do the bass part?
Because Chris Squire passed out
15:38 Scheiße!
this video is not accurate and way too confusing to understand. ever hear of tabs???
Dude ... Learn the song before trying to teach it.
