    Great tip to keep the sling off your neck. Of course the entire video series is very helpful.

    How in the hell after all these years did I never think to do that carabiner trick to keep the damned thing off my neck? >.<
    Noted, added, implemented.

      I know, right? I even already keep a carabiner on that shoulder to clip in to fall retention lines. Can't believe I never thought to run the sling through it.

      ***** That's one of the reasons that we prefer QD sling mounts on our rifles.

      On my single point sling where it may touch my neck I folded the sling over then taped it.. works for me it doesn’t cut into my neck anymore

    Would love to hear more advantages and disadvantages between one and two point slings when wearing your armor.

    Good advice. I prefer the single point sling. Having used the two point sling most my earlier life, I think the single point gives greater freedom.

    Train how you anticipate fighting in every scenario possible. Carrier, no carrier, pistol only, concealable armor (IIIA). Your dedication and training or lack there of could be the difference between life and death

    Yea my plate carrier shifts up on me and tries to get me in the throat I have the cummerbund tight and tried the shoulder straps looser and tighter and nothing works any advice? Also I noticed with plates in it’s just awkward and I can’t even square off too shoot because the plate seems like it’s too wide and stops my arms
    I have the shellback rampage btw
    My friend has the same one and I don’t have the plate issue with his just the rising but I believe we have same size plates

    Great video thanks for sharing. Glen - curious to know what optics you have on your rifle?

    • @fugitiveburrito
      @fugitiveburrito 9 лет назад

      Burris MTAC

    • @IndependenceTraining
      @IndependenceTraining 9 лет назад

      fugitiveburrito Yes, it is the Burris 1-4x MTAC in the Burris PEPR mount. I am a huge fan of low power variables on carbines, not just for the advantage when switching from close to longer range shooting, but also for target and item ID, especially in low-light or darkness.

    My coverage seems abnormally small. I seem to only have protection over my heart and lungs. Is this normal?

    Recomendations for plate carrier that will fit someone that’s about 5’8 155 lbs the bottom adjustments can never get tight enough I’m on my second set of carriers and it’s getting old any recommendations would be hugely appreciated thanks y’all!

    When I shoulder my rifle I pinch the crap out of myself. Somehow my skin rolls up enough where the edge of the plate is that my buttstock pinches down on it. I haven't figured out how to adjust it in that area.

    so what if I want a hydration pack with the single point sling won't they get in the way of each other on the back and the shoulder?

    Attachimg your sling to your carrier with a carabiner is a good way to get killed. I don't think these tips are combat proven.

    This PC is not ideal for shouldering you rifle. Strap extensions are thick and bulky. The buckle within the strap extensions dont help at all. It all impedes proper shouldering of your rifle. I got rid of this the first 3 weeks of me having it.

    Every man, woman and child should have some of body armor.
    I personally put mine on before going to bed or leaving the house.
    Gotta be sure nobody can get the jump on me.
