What I'd love Starmer to manage to do if he wins is to restore some cross-party consensus. I'm bored of living in a country where whoever wins, 50% of the voting public spend the next 5 years miserable, because they get nothing they voted for. Not every political decision has to be aimed at pleasing one of two extremes, it has just ended up that way. And please look at proportional representation.

Labour definitely have their priorities set in the right direction compared to conservatives but, for me I'm still leaning to Greens. Would make so much sense to introduce Single Transferable Voting as this would allow best representation of seat allocations and what people want. Instead we have outdated competition of 2 major parties either this or that scheme. I am sure there are many people who would want to vote greens or liberal or what ever as their preferred or second choice which would give those parties more of a voice and a platform.

Starmer's rationale as to why the people are looking at Labour is delusional. The only reason that people are looking to Labour is because there isn't really anyone else to look at. The Tories are a proven disaster, the LibDems a mystery and parties like Reform are nothing more than English nationalists and a disaster for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Although in Northern Ireland the English centric major parties are largely irrelevant anyway. The only reason people are looking at your party Sir Keir is because at this moment in time, you are the most edible apple in a barrel of rotten ones.
