Great video !!! had a Vstrom as well to heavy for playing around in the dirt for me, Picking up a xt today. feeling better about my decision after watching TY
I've owned two xt225 in the past my 1st was a 1994 and my 2nd. XT 225 was a 2005 and I had a lot of good Times Riding both of those bikes. Last year I bought the New 2023 Honda xr150 Dual Sport but was sadly disappointed in the quality of the bike and traded it in after Riding it 5 months for a 2024 Honda Monkey 125 mini moto. I've had the monkey now for about 8 months and put 6,700 miles on it so far it's a really fun little bike to Ride and it's great getting 140 M.P.G. plus the Honda Monkey is fuel injected.
Super careful on the crossing .... and then he pops a wheelie. Ha. [I'm old & new to riding, but I'd just risk the wet on crossing, but as for wheelies, no-less than 2 wheels for me.]
Haha had to be gentle on the crossing, had to keep the jeans clean for a Easter get together right after I got home but otherwise I might have been less cautious 🤙🏼
I'm looking into one of these but I need the xt250 for the rear disk brake. I am a right leg above knee amputee so I need a disk rear brake to convert to a hand brake setup then !'m all set .haha. All these people in Florida are taxing motorcycles though. I can wait for a decent deal.
@@MrSilus2000 if you ditched the headlight and odometer, and big tail light assembly and passenger pegs you would probably get it pretty close to 200lb

I’ve got a lot of videos of my xt225 on the channel, can definitely say it might be the best air cooled small bore dualsport ever made

@@DirtRider22a Happy Easter.
Nice job! I also love having small dual sport. CRF 300L is a 18 rear
Good to know, I knew some run smaller rears but off hand was blanking on which ones other than a klr650 which isn’t a small bike lol
@@DirtRider22a yep the KLR was all i could think of off top my head too
@@FIREBIRDMAN6285 I guess it’s more adv bikes that have them more so than dual sports
Rim diameter
I used to have a TT225. Loved it!
great times brother
That’s the goal 🤙🏼

@@Agustin-jo8mv I haven’t ever ridden the xt250 but some guys in our Facebook group have them and they love them!!!
@@DirtRider22a Awesome thank you. I'll keep an eye out for them. 👌
Nice video! I've had mine for a year, and even with other bikes now I still love it. What exuaust are you running?
It’s the stock exhaust that has been modified. Google xt225 Z1 exhaust mod
First again! 😉👍 --QM
Your the king of first lol or you have sympathy for my crappy videos 😂😂😂
Too funny.. I have a Vstrom and a XT225 as well..👍
I just upgraded the strom to a Yamaha Tenere 700, however the xt isn’t going anywhere for awhile 👍
@@DirtRider22a T7, T660 is on my radar, also the yet to come to USA CFM450MT. DL650 great bike, but way bloated for anything but forest roads...
Who's gonna mod this bike to get it under 200 pounds?

@DirtRider22a That's my plan but also somehow keep it street legal.
