I like the idea of these, I would just be concerned about water getting in the kingpin tube and icing up, or the constant buildup of ice and snow under the bindings causing you to lose the whole rocking motion itself.
The channel rocks, thank you! …I noticed you haven’t reviewed a Burton board since 2020. What’s your beef w Burton? Would love to hear your take on their 3-D stuff.
So, I'm considering throwing a new set of ankle straps on my pilots, cause they're shit compared to modern stuff, uncomfortable and already have stitching undone. Which set of now/jones straps do you think would be best? The sieva foam freestyle looks pretty flimsy, the drive straps seem solid, or maybe the jones ones? The 3d "now" toe strap is alright once flipped.
@@-tr0n - Not at all. They do flex but not what I'd say is an unusual amount. They're very comfortable and durable straps. Definitely better than the trash the Pilots come with.
if you are still looking, the new jones straps for 21/22 on the mercury and Apollo are no joke the best straps i have ever used! avran didnt mention it, but Jones company videos do, the strap is desinged to spread the pressure out. I have 20/21 Apollo straps that seem very standard, but the new straps on my mercury tighten down but distribute the pressure so I can barely tell I even have the strap on. MASSIVE improvement! I was amazed the first time I strapped in. And since I only ride skate tech bindings, it is by far and away the best strap available, imo.
Without heel loop or toe ramp adjustment, have you had or could you see any issue with not having your boot centered losing power via the "skatetech" because of that?
Thanks, is that anything to be worried about? I'm guessing this would go for all NOW bindings, as well. How would the power transfer edge to edge from "skatetech" compare to Flow's power triangle and fusion strap?
Aight. I'll be out there riding one way or another! Thanks for you replies and info. You are my go to for honest information. Keep up the anger and "spray skiers!"
How does the Clew step on compare to Burton's? I cant lie they seem practical, but they just sponsored Kookhouse so it makes me not want to trust them. I was curious if you had an opinion on em, viable option or $500 deathtrap?
I need them, I need them for that aviator 2.0 in the background. I need to be man enough to for the aviator. I got needs!!!
Sounds like you got wants.

I wouldn't.
They took forever to come available
Bought mine today

That they don't send shit when asked.
Probably shitty brand reps, too busy giving out shit to energy drink athletes.
Is it moving further from the aggressiveness of the O-Drive with the changes over the last few years?
It's somewhere between a Drive and O-Drive.
Which one pairs best with aviator 2.0? Apollo or mercury?
It's kind of personal preference as they both will work.
@@AngrySnowboarder thank you!

Kind of your call on that. I like the foam a bit more than the injected molded plastic.
I put the Sieva's on mine and I love them. They really contour to the boot well.
@@adam1887 you don't find them overly flexible? I'll give em another look next time I head to the shop.

are the rome cleavers more or less agressive than these?
Less.

You wouldn't lose power more than likely you would have more leverage on one or the other.

It's more underfoot and noticeable with how quick you get on edge. If you're worried you're worried if you're not you're going to ride and be fine.

You said it yourself, they "sponsored" kookhouse. All you need to know.
Nobody mentioned it says snowboard review? lol
