Hey Avran, I loved that you commented on the durability of this board. I think it would be rad to have a durability section in your reviews. Living here in Ontario, we are usually being subjected less than ideal snow conditions and durability plays a huge factor in my board choices. I have owned many boards that rode amazing but sold them very quickly due to lack of durabiltity. I ride fairly heavy footed and some boards are basically ticking time bombs under my feet or I just tap a rock and the thing explodes. Either way, love your reviews. I find that our opinion of boards are very much aligned for the most part and you definitely help me with my board choices. Thanks for years of quality reviews. Cheers man 🤘🤘🤘
@@AngrySnowboarder agreed but warranty aside, there are still some boards that take a beating and others that don't mainly based on the materials used. That plays a factor in my board choices or when/how I will ride that board. I repair my own boards and it is nice when a board holds up so I'm not constantly repairing it when I do stupid shit on our stupid shit snowpack.
Hey Avran, I weigh about 210 lbs with gear. Got my eye on the 160w. I don't ride pow too much and if I ride pow at all, it's at an easy pace. Do you think I will face any durability issues as you point out in your video?
I have an older Merc that's a 158W (boot size 11). I only weigh 165 lbs and sort of wish I got a 157 or 159. Would I get toe/heel drag on the non-wide Mega?
I need a new category for boards - mid 40s, not a dad, not rad. So dad bod border :-D. Pretend to ride park, try to ride trees. Want to ride more, but dont want to die.
Cracked mine under front foot on the first day! Capita didn’t take responsibility for the slim core under warranty. They offered me 30% off instead. I’ve been riding capita boards for 11 years, this board is not worth the money.
SO many family reunions between rollers
Peak season they're there.
Loved the first version and got this one on pre-order. Favorite board ever!
A glowing review from AS. Not an easy feat.

Durability is user based 99% of the time. People see "manufacturers warranty" and think that covers doing stupid shit.

You going to rag doll and dig your tail in to stop? No? Then you're fine. Yes? Probably.

Have you tested the funky abracadabra yet? And if yes what do you think about it?
Nope
If comparing with korua otto plus, which one is better in carving and dampness?
Dampness Otto plus, carving this.
How does this compare with the 2025 Salomon Assassin Pro?
I’m also wondering
This is a little beefier. It has more snap and a higher end base finish to it.
Love my 23/34 model. I think it's ugly as sin and looks like a rental... but it rips!
Really? I think the 23/24 model looks like an F1 car!

Yep. I had a 159 with size 11 Rides.
Probably. Depends on the boot.
I have a 9.5 Photon boots and just upgraded from the MM 155 to the 156W. I have relatively small feet yet a 26mm waist is ideal.

I'm in the same boat and just bought the Mega Merc. Havene't been on a board in 15 years. Used to ride the whole mtn. Wish me luck.
Go fast, take chances, ollie slow signs, spray skiers.

Can't to ride my 23/24 cersion this year!
Mega Merc or Mega Death?
Mega Choices.

How does the Mega Merc compare against the K2 Antidote? Similarities, differences between pop, dampness, carving transmission
Softer than the Antidote, doesn't have 3D at the contact points, more lively and not as damp. Easier to engage a carve.
can it also be for the lazy old guy who wants to carve and jump without trying too hard? 😂
To an extent.

Yeah, i loved the capita mid life!
How does this compare with the 2025 Mountain Twin Pro?
That's more damp and forgiving and a little stiffer in the tips.
