Nice smithbronian institute. Real nice bro 😎
For carving (still progressing) and good damp which of these would you recommend? (Strata, Mercury, Orion). Thanks
Strata.
Great review man; just subscribed!! Q: What are bindings that have a surfy feel but HAS good dampeners?
Probably want to look at something from Nitro like maybe the Zero.
@@AngrySnowboarderthank you so much!!
Looking for a binding to match with the new nidecker gamma. Would you recommend the Orion, Select pro, or Katana Live carving, switch, jumps mellow park.. Thanks
Select Pro will have the most response out of those three.
How does this compare in the Now lineup? I expected this to be similar to the Select Pro when reading about it, but it sounds like it’s softer. Is that the case?
It's softer, the Mercury is closer to the Select Pro with the Jones Line.
Weird hearing that these aren't damp. That seems to be NOW/Jones' thing.
Are these a good match with the Golden Orca and the Mega Merc?
No I'd bump up to the Mercury from Jones.
would these be a good match for the bataleon blow snowboard?
Oh yeah.
Are they using the same footbed as the Mercury?
Don't know, maybe?
What snowboards would you pair the Orion with?
That’s a really long list, might want to be more specific.
Aviator 2.0? That’s what the Jones website recommends.
Wouldn't be my first choice. Typically you try to pair bindings to boards not boards to a set of bindings.
Jones aviator 2.0 plus atlas pro or now drive pro
Drive Pro is a little over kill, probably go with the Atlas Pro.
are these good match with jones aviator 2.0
No.
@@AngrySnowboarder rome cleaver or atlas pro?
Dealers choice there. Cleaver is more damp than the Atlas Pro.
is it surfy?
Nope straight chargey.
Is skate tech a must have? Or do you have a conditional like/dislike for it?
It has its place. I love the power drive dynamic it puts down into the edge but you lose lateral play which changes how you get your weight over the nose and tail.
@@AngrySnowboarder so is it safe to say they’re great for toe and heel edge movements ie mountain/freeride, but they lack some lateral movement that would be ideal for freestyle in the sense of ground tricks etc?
To an extent. The straps on this help compensate but it's not the same as a flat binding.
@@AngrySnowboarder thanks for the info!
Jones Orion or Bataleon Astro?
Sure.
@@AngrySnowboarderand seriously which bindings would you choose? The board is an Arbor Element, the boots are 32 TM-2, piste riding with carving elements and a bit of fs. I'm considering the Flux XF
Astro asym wrap.
