Another great clip, Heath. The info you lay out about prices and places are a very necessary tool for anyone planning to come, or even for those who may be resident and be unaware. There is NO SUCH THING as TOO MUCH INFORMATION. Good quality, to the point, and without all of the wasted filler that so many other clips throw in that just waste time. Thank you for all of your efforts.

The 24 to 26 degree range is optimal for all warm climates in the world. Some countries now even restrict the lowest temperature setting as the amount of energy used is very high at the lower end. Also the older the aircon unit the harder it works to achieve your temperature setting, so regular maintenance is important.

All good tips, and a beautifully made video….but 166 Baht Jomtien to Pattaya could be on the high side. A week ago, middle of April, got a Bolt air conditioned taxi for 95 baht, from condo near the Jomtien bus station to Avenue shopping, or Soi 11. Motosai option would have been about 70 baht. But I must know where that street food grill can be found. Thanks much

    Those are some great pointers!
I was wondering, would a Berkey stainless steel gravity water, purifying system work with tapwater in the Philippines?
Or maybe a gravity feed set up with a Sawyer Water purifier for like backcountry backpacking.
I used a Sawyer mini when I was in Cuba with their tapwater and never had any problem.
I just bought a few bottles of purified water and refilled them with my gravity feed Sawyer mini set up. That saved me quite a bit of money, not having to buy bottled water all the time.

Heath a question about the money transfer service, I understand it's not simple to walk in and open a Thai bank account if say staying in Pattaya for six months of the year, would I be correct in believing certain agents for a fee could make the bank account happen? thanks as always for sharing your videos.

Hello. Yes, an agent would sort this out for a fee. However, best to try yourself before you go paying an agent. I explained that I needed the account so I could apply for my retirement (long-term) visa. That had them thinking I was about to deposit a large amount and they gave me an account. Is thailand considering a monorail or train to get around and service the jomtien and pattaya areas?

Not that I know of. There's nowhere to put one here and there's already a bus service.

Great info n help to the newbies here so thx Heath. Think if get a regular drinking water vat delivery it’s even cheaper than bottle delivery as noticed delivery guys at the condo often. Might be worth checking out?? Good info re thai SIM cards too. Plenty markets nowadays in Jomtien which is good. However don’t buy the cheap sunglasses as won’t give you good protection against the hot sun there…need proper protection as will damage your eyesight in the long run. Hope you get to 6k subs soon!., 🤔😉😎👍🏻

I get my water from the osmosis drinking water refill stations. Paying 5 baht for 6 liters. I have one next to my building and have not had any issues with it. Use fewer plastic bottles too.

    Nice vlog Heath
Maybe you know where I can hire out a Lazer dinghy for an hour or two as I'm into sailing, in the Jom tien area preferabely?
Hoping to come out for 2/3 months later in the year.
    Cheers Barry

Does the water delivery company you show at 8 minutes, 28 seconds deliver in Central Pattaya also?

I am not sure on that but there will be stores that deliver in Pattaya. You can also get it delivered via Grab Food from the 7-Eleven.

Doesn''t BOLT require a Thai SIM card? You did not mention . I don't think it works without a Thai #. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Good point. You need a network for when you want it to find your pick up location unless you are in a location with WIFI, so yes you will need a Thai network.
