As far as I know, the serial number is just a modern day Casio India's Approach. But if anyone knows of other countries using the serial number approach, do let us know in the comments 😊
Thank you, Rishabh. I am glad I did this because I know of many who don't register because it is Casio and they don't really need an extended warranty because the watches are built to last. And they only find out a year later that theirs was a fake.
Not all casio watches have a serial engraved on them. That's why in the registration form, there is a Yes/No radio button @0:51. I have a watch that's been used for 8 years and is original. It doesn't have a serial number.
The modern day watches do come with serial numbers. I have not seen one without. When I do get one from an authorised seller without a serial number that's room for another video after discussing it with a Casio executive.
From what I have seen, the screws are usually a big giveaway. Real casios have a philips combination screwheads (the star one with one line being a longer slit). Doesnt work for calculators tho. But bros method is the true one to go for.
Hope this registration process is foolproof and proves authenticity. I (who has done a record number of registrations during the last few weeks !) have been able to register my GBA800 by uploading a wrong invoice (of GD400 inadvertently) ! I was hoping that this request would be rejected with ‘Invalid invoice’ as the reason. Also, for some reason all the watches I’ve bought from other countries don’t have a Serial number at the back ( AE-1000, AE-1200 which I bought from Amazon US and AE-3000 which was shipped from S Korea). I haven’t bothered to figure out how to register non-India purchased Casios though (since I don’t plan to register these)
Here's the thing- sometimes people buy watches and immediately register but decide to send it back during the return window and that's also another reason for the registration not going through. Doesn't always mean fake. When you call them I think they manually reassign that watch to you in their system. But according to the executive I spoke to - it's a sure way to ensure the authenticity.. I don't know if the system scans the invoice before trying to match the serial number. But if it's fake that invoice goes into Casio's system and you can inform them about the seller who sold the fake but considering we live in India these fake product sellers don't get called out in Anyway. They go on about their ways. It's got to do with the systems of the country - I heard this with nutrition supplements in Dubai. If anyone is found selling counterfeit they will be in jail for years. Their law is enough and they don't need the serial number on the caseback to counter the fakes .

I have bought watches from Dubai and they didn't have a serial number. Maybe they are old stock when serial numbers weren't a thing with Casio. If they do now then yes, this applies to all markets
My first advice is to own those scratches but if it's superficial scratched you can get rid of them with some pokywatch buffing. If you still want a screen protector then go to any mobile phone store and get it done

Yes,, but the counterfeits are constantly updated to make them look like the original. So, one wouldn't want to just go by the physical attributes and end up with a fake one
Hi! You can politely ask the giver of the gift for the invoice by telling them that you need to register for warranty or if they don't want to give you the invoice because they gave you the watch as gift then share the serial number on the caseback with them so they can register for you and get your 6 months additional warranty

my watch registration got approved ..does that mean my watch is genuine one? Although my watch does not show casio logo after pressing any keys..
The Casio being displayed doesn't guarantee genuine. Fakes do that too

All the Indian market version are engraved with serial number at the back we just have to match the tag and serial number
