I bought the SE version Oct 2. Great little SUV. I had narrowed my choice between Honda HRV and the Escape. I liked the Honda, but I got more car, and more features for $4K less in the Escape. Nearest Honda dealer was 45 min drive. Got 2 Ford dealerships seven miles apart here in hometown area. I'm a Ford freak anyhow, 3 Superduties, 3 Rangers and one Focus already passed through my driveway.
Great job! Great info! I have the 2017 Ford Escape awd and the 2.0 turbo. Great power and awd handling. Get the Black trim package! A Escape on steroids. 245 hp and 275 torque. Take on all comers at the light! Kick's Butt! Shawn.
Is this car reliable mechanically? I own a Ford fusion right now and have had many problems. I like this Escape but am worried about Ford's reliability
I have the 2017 se 4x4...had no issues for 5 years but as I speak it's at ford for the turbocharger...cost to replace estimated by ford 2,777 dollars...😳
Yeah we just got it with 24kmiles, no heated seats or touch screen, but its a nice little car high driver seat is nice, how has it held up for you? How many miles do you have now ?
@@DoubleGFinese I think our mom has about 30k miles. Had to replace the battery recently. But it’s been running strong. Just drives it locally. So low mileage. Their 4Runner is the car with the miles lol. 100k on that
Front wheel drive. We test drove the AWD model with the 2.0 engine, and there was a lot of torque steer. The smaller engine and only being FWD actually seems to drive much nicer.
This model strikes the sweet spot in practicality and luxury for the young family. We’ve owned one for a few years now and my wife and kids love it!
Yeah it's a great little SUV! We still have it, and its running strong!
you're a great reviewer & this helped me learn a lot about my 2017 i just bought. Ford should hire you
Awesome!! Thats why we make vids like this! My mom still owns this and really enjoyed it! Worked for her needs perfect!

I have one for a rental right now. This thing is NICE. Great review, dude! Very helpful.
Solid SUV. Power seats, 2nd row power outlet & hands free lift gate are very cool.

Nice! My mom still loves this car and it's been great
Your review is better than most I have seen. Well done and accurate.
Glad you liked it!
I bought the Titanium black & Love it
How has it been so far? I’ve read the gas mileage kind of sucks lol
I leased the SE when my 3 years are up I’m going to renew lease and get the titanium level
I’m glad they change the grill on it. It reminds me of 13 &15 Ford edge for some reason
Yeah I can see a lot of that for sure in the design!
Yeah
Great review, super presented and fab car :)
Thanks!
good review!
Bought mine in white gold ❤️ ❤️
Oh cool! I don't know if I have seen that color in person or not. Hope you're enjoying it!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed it’s not a common color but It looks very rich and sharp
Lovely video, is it worth it to buy a used 2017 Ford titanium in 2021??? 40 k miles at $22k
Depends on the market. If others are going for that price with the mileage, thats probably good. How much would a new one be?
Great review!! I have the same car and my EcoBoost doesn't work every time. Any suggestions?
Oh really? Might need to take it into the shop
How do you operate the keypad to lock and unlock the doors
You put in a code and usually hit one or two buttons afterwards to lock and then the same to unlock, it’s pretty easy.
Is this car reliable mechanically? I own a Ford fusion right now and have had many problems. I like this Escape but am worried about Ford's reliability
My mom still has this and it's never had an issue! She only has like 30k miles on it tho
Love those wheels. Are they 17 or 18"??
18
Is the 8 inch touchscreen standard on the SE?
I believe so, but I haven't been in that trim level. I'm pretty sure all the Escape models have the same screen.
I'm not too sure. But any Escape with the Navigation Sync system will have it
@@BrosFOURRSpeed thanks!
Nice
Any re occurring issues ?
Nope! My mom still owns this car and it has ran perfect!
How has the car been over the longer term ? have you still got it ? and how many miles has it done now.
My mom still has it. Loves it still and has 0 issues. Roughly 17k miles on it currently. Still looks brand new
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Thanks i bought the 2019 escape with the 1.5 motor in Australia love it so far only done 4k kilometers so far.

@@Mottbox Nope, no issues and it had somewhere in the 20K mile range on it now!

Yup, that's the start up for this Ford Escape!
Salty we got the se and not the titanium, same color & everything
Oh yeah? We still have this. Nice little car and the SE I'm sure still has good features
