Thank you Eli, I just landed on your channel recently and I appreciate your tutorials, I've a learned a lot just watching a couple of your videos, looking forward to watch more, this tip about removing lights is great, the same technique can be used to remove other things like people, Keep up the good work.
Been doing this technique for years, but when asked I explained it to folks like this: Shoot two "plates": the first shot is the scene/POV/Subject; the second shot/plate is with the light source IN the photo- and ON the Subject. In post, Erase the Light= Final (a Subject well-lit, a light/stand removed) In this shot....you could even go (3) plates: 1st: Basic Scene, without the horse/model. 2nd: Horse/Model included 3rd: Light added to Model/Horse. I ALWAYS use a tripod so the shots are perfectly aligned.
I really love your work, but your tutorials and your tags make me have a very good time and laugh 😂 , I have been hanging around RUclips for a year looking something really work for me. I took a couple courses in Domeska (Spain website) to get in to he photography world. Now I got my sony camera and a kit lense, Adobe subscription and capture one and a powerful computer, to approach my dream came true. Thanks for being an inspiration for me and many others. It's a shame because I used to lived in Houston two years ago, now Im in Tampa. Hope you came to visit just to say thank you in person or see you in Texas pretty soon. Success! 😎 ✌️
Love your tutorials! Alway well explained. please keep doing what you are doing. You are lifting my, and I am sure others, editing skills to new levels. God bless.
@@EliInfante what flash was hand-held? And, also want to ask you: do you turn off a trigger when flash removed from your frame? Thanks, waiting for new vids)))
I will say, using a tripod does make it a bit better...you probably won't need the auto align step. But I hear you about it being an extra annoying step. Using a mono-pod may be a good in-between compromise. Also another thing you can do if you use a tripod, is take a picture of the scene without the model or your assistant/light. Then in photoshop, just 'paint in' your lit model over the base background. Both method work equally well, but I found in some scenarios, the latter is a better option. Good video though! :)
Super bien. Esa técnica no la sabía ojala pudieras hacer los vídeos en español para que los que no hablamos inglés sea más fácil pero por lo poco que entiendo esta super bien 😁
Please make one video on the flash to be used with Sony a7iii and if have to use off camera flash which flash i'll use and how to setup flash with the camera.
You're a cool guy, Eli. I'd like to point out two things - 1st - use a tripod if you're not too lazy for this. And 2nd - as you said you're doing high-end retouch. If *ANY* filters are involved, this isn't a high end work. FS is a banned technique when it comes to high-end retouch. Just saying. :) Keep up the enthusiasm and the good work, mate. Cheers.
Watching this almost 3 years later, still works! :)
Great to hear!

The modifier is the magsphere?
When is better to use this type of modifier instead of a softbox/beauty dish?
Modifier was a magsphere. You can also use a small octabox softbox.
Al chingaso, thank you vato...

@@EliInfante did you ever find a solution to this problem?

I don't remember hahaha sorry!
Tripod suggestion?
I've always loved using Manfrotto.
Not that anyone cares but for me I want to know if this can be done in GIMP?
I wish I knew but I don't use GIMP :(
@dannybatista told me to follow you and am great full.
Thanks Felipe! Danny is one of my favorite photographers!!!
Fantastic tutorial. RGV
Thanks bro! Are you from the RGV?
Eli Infante Nah, my wife is from Brownsville. We’re in San Antonio
Por que vato?
A tripod is too much trouble? Seems to me it would save you some work in post. Regardless, this is a great tutorial. Thanks very much!
Paul Alex Hahaha for me yes but you’re more than welcome to use one.
@@EliInfante My hands are not as steady as they used to be, even with VR!
AAAHHHH then a tripod totally makes sense man.
Is that a brick wall?
Ashley Ramos Lmao sssttaaappp!
Can you change it to a black horse?
sound is too small ,cant hear what you said
Strange I didn't have too many people mention this.
Poor Omar! It's like he never existed. Back to the Future style. HAHA!
LMAO! Dude he got some great shots from this shoot.

Not all of us have an assitant...
Eugenia Husti True in this case using a Colt 45 modifier will do the trick with no assistant. :)
@@EliInfante , thank you! I will immediately check out what that is and if I can find it in Europe.
You're welcome! You can also do research on the MagBeam as well if you use the MagMod system.
Has videos en español 😂
I want to some day!
dude use a tripod AHAHAHA
Hahahah NAH!
