To me, before even the meaning you provided,"balmy" means, "southing or calming. Like a balm you apply to a wound to reduce irritation and pain. So for me, this concept was about how the fun and perks they get from idol life are a confort but not a cure. They've suffered to get to where they are and they'll keep having to put blood sweat and tears to grow their careers, so they might as well flaunt it and get some solace out of it. I'd like to share my theories if you dont mind 😅 First one is about garbage bags filled with flowers with Sakura lying on them, these discarded flowers can actually symbolize idols: Yunjin and Eunchae walk along a street with shops on both sides of them and during the day in the light of the sun there were beautiful flowers that everyone admired, just like we admire idols who seem so beautiful to us when they perform on stage in the spotlight. But then as soon as night falls, as soon as the spotlight goes out, the flowers end up in the trash heap underground, and that's how idols feel behind the scenes. Seeing how they do everything beautifully and easily, how they MAKE IT LOOK EASY, it seems to us that they are on top of the world, while in fact, faced with constant criticism, hate, their own insecurities, they are the ones who feel at the very bottom, thrown to the margins of the world.
