@@StormyJoeseph I'm a heavy smoker LOL but no Air Force. I lived in Dayton Ohio for decades and those 2002 Blazers were made about 3 miles from my house in Moraine Ohio. I had several friends and family that have worked at GM truck and bus plant and there's a very good chance many of them had their hands on your 2002 Blazer. You're about the 10th person in RUclips comments that new a Josh Gibson as well I've never actually been the one though.

@@StormyJoeseph the plant is since shutdown and fuyao glass occupies the plant. A Chinese company... I was a tool and die maker back then. There were thousands of tool shops in that town. GM and Delphi are non existent there now. They gave my wife and others a $75,000 (about a years pay and benefits) buyout and shut the place down. 4000 people out of work. Then you had another 8 jobs for every one at the plant that were lost. So 30-35000 jobs together. Many tool shops and related type businesses shut down as a result. As well as carryouts, restaurants, convenience store employees, etc. Anyhow just thought I'd share... that was a golden time. So was the period in the video.

@@joshuagibson2520 Wow, thank you for the history. I bought that Blazer in Alaska, it was a creampuff. No cruise control and the steering column was not adjustable. No power windows or seats... 2 door V6 4WD. Best car I ever had. I drove it 6,000 miles from Alaska to Nevada, the Alcan highway in December is no joke! I'm sorry they closed. Severance packages are a bitter pill for anyone to swallow. I think my Air Force buddy spelled Gibson with a P, everyone called him 'Gibby'. Good crew chief.

From 1969 to 1980 those were the golden years for the blazer in my opinion. Does your 78 have the 400 small block ? You don't see very many blazers around anymore from those years if I had one I would never sell it they are built like Sherman tanks and made to last. @@joshuagibson2520 What made me wonder was there is 2 Low range settings - my trucks have always had 2w , 4wH and 4wL . You'd have to have lockable diffs front and rear to lock up the whole system and get all 4 to turn at the same rate which in 1977 would be impressive from the drivers seat in a GM . I think you have to get a RangeR or Merc G wagen to get that from a company today ... maybe Jeep I don't know . Jeep seems to keep them pretty capable if you option them right .

Can't afford the Tahoe or Suburban, so I won't be going back to Chevy. Current vehicle is a 2016 Ford Explorer 4WD. 76000 miles without a problem.
