Hey Gary!! this is neat to learn. Because when it comes to the timing aspect of a sprinkler I always wondered how it is set up. Thank you for sharing!! I truly appreciate you!!
1. Double check that the outlet the timer is plugged into has current. 2. Next remove lower panel and make sure the push on power connector is still attached. 3. Check to make sure the common wire is still attached to the timer.
I'm trying to add a day in my watering days I can't figure out how. I'm only allowed to water one day a week just moved in so I cleared all the days but the day I'm suppose to water is the only day that didn't have an arrow
You have it reversed, the only day with an arrow should be your water day. Use the clear and enter buttons to remove the unwanted and add the wanted. Hope that helps, don’t forget to Subscribe ✌️
Had a power outage. I slide it up to turn on and it doesn't not turn on any longer. I had to buy a new transformer for my timer pn57006 as well which got it running except for individual slide turn on function.
@@garyssprinklerrepair Thanks. It didn't but I replaced transformer. I can set the date and time and program it. It isn't exactly like yours. Older model. I do have the sliders. It had the option to slide up to turn on and then back down to minutes. That part no longer works for all 6 stations. I probably have a burnt circuit on a circuit board? Will call orbit and ask for schematics. But they man the help line with young girls that said to call my electrician when I ask about solenoids and wiring lol. I may get no where. But will try. Saves a hundred bucks if I can fix it.
So you’re saying that you plugged something into the same outlet that the timers plugged into? (Light, blow dryer etc.) to Verify the outlet is working? I only ask because even with a new transformer if the timers only running on battery power it will show a display and appear to do what you want it just won’t turn the valves on. (Not enough current) I usually tell people to remove the batteries it the display goes out the timer has now power.
@@garyssprinklerrepair lightening strike on mother's day. Our weather was still cool enough that sprinklers hadn't been turned on and I had no clue sprinkler were effected. It hasn't before. We've had other close sounding lightening and thunder before. I moved a slider of station 1 up to on. Tested @ dca20 setting and had no reading. I sent it around in all zones on cycle once and it triggers all the stations and it tested 11 to 14 fluctuating on the tester. Could be I have a short? Do I cut the tip of a wire, strip it and plug it back in? Idk if that's a fix for a short? Not an electrician lol.
Make sure the station are programmed in the A or B program and the selector switch below them is in the correct location A…..B…or both. Be sure to set a start time for that program and chose your watering day you want “On.”Then put into Auto
You might have a bad transformer, remove the AA Batteries and if the timer dies you might have a bad transformer. Some version of this timer have a fuse it might be blown, if it’s blown, the batteries will show “pwr” on the display.
I have a WaterMaster 4 stations. All of a sudden it looks like it stopped watering as my lawn is turning yellow. The clock appears to be working, but the Instructions appear to be Greek to me. I am 73 years old. Do you have an instruction video for a 4 station setup? Thanks.
@@garyssprinklerrepair Thanks for the reply. I did not realize I had to OPEN the cover. Once I did that, I can see where the instructions would be very similar to the 8 station unit. If I can't figure this out, I will have to ask my son to come over and help. Thanks again.
2 years later and it's helping me set up a friend. Thanks!
Glad it’s still helping you.

Great video! My question is, if I only use A setting, will my sprinklers only water for the two weeks or will they water on my set days all weeks?
All weeks, hope that helps

Hi sir Gary's are you technician? We dont have a timer in our shower. We only using pale tru feucet.
Yes, I’m a technician I suppose. The time is for landscape irrigation control. Not probably going to help you with a shower 🧼

Nothing happens when we push to auto...and have the sections on. Is there anything we need to do at the sprinkler heads or in general?

Had a power outage. I slide it up to turn on and it doesn't not turn on any longer. I had to buy a new transformer for my timer pn57006 as well which got it running except for individual slide turn on function.
First thing to do is check the outlet for power
@@garyssprinklerrepair Thanks. It didn't but I replaced transformer. I can set the date and time and program it. It isn't exactly like yours. Older model. I do have the sliders. Not an electrician lol.
Ok, well then you have power just not enough. You need close to 24 v -28 v to turn on a valve.
I have the same controller and I followed this video for easy programming. I notice the automatic setting isn't working. Is there a reason for that?
Make sure the station are programmed in the A or B program and the selector switch below them is in the correct location A…..B…or both.
