Safetygate played low energy football. Apart from 30 minutes against Serbia, maybe 20 minutes against the Swiss and the first half against Netherlands we were poor, relying on moments of individual brilliance rather than good team performances. Prime Le tiss would have been great for England but Hoddle only played him in one England B team game from what i can remember

If le tissier was playing now in prime form ....it would be the bench for him under Mr Safety .

Doubt he'd even get picked 🙃

@TheWorldClassStamp Tragic that he only got 8 caps .In another universe could have had him and Gascoigne in the same team ...Now that's one for the purist .

Think Paul Merson should have had more too @@NickWard-f6l

I’m not so sure he’d even get selected. Modern footballers are top athletes and can run all day. Not doubting his ability on the ball though. Also think moving away from Southampton would of improved his England chances

Not p***ing off two future England's coaches would have gone some way too 🤣

Every time I hear Le Tissier give any insight the more and more I think he has no worthwhile comments. The annoying bouncy subtitles also made me switch off.
