Sold all my vinyl years back and regretted it but the album I regret losing the most was mud, blood and the beers. Have tried a few times to search for it but failed every time although recently got Spotify and, yes, second half of smokin' taters is basically that album. Even listening now thirty years later it still sounds absolutely class. Nine pound hammer seriously didn't get the credit they deserved. I'm so happy now to be able to revisit it

I've been a fan of Nashville Pussy for years. I discovered Nine Pound Hammer when Christmas shopping on Amazon last December. I fucking love Nine Pound Hammer! I've managed to find and purchase 2 cds so far.

Hi B! I remember Jason and the Scorchers, too! I had MTV back in the mid 80’s as a teen so I remember them. I’ll try to find a video of them ..

Still the greatest thing to ever come out of Kentucky, KFC included. Awesome new album just released called Bluegrass Conspiracy. Definitely worth buying and blasting!

Also sometimes called the Can. Later renamed Babylon Babylon. It was our home away from home and Scott often did the door which on those nights meant I was getting in free and drinking free lol. Here is a short list of bands I saw there ... Mojo Nixon and Skid Roper, Dinosaur Jr., Elivis Hitler, the Didjits, Snake Out, Art Phag, D.O.A. Thats off the top of my head. I was there on the last night when Skull Head played and had the t-shirt. Babylon Babylon is burning lol. One night one of the worst bands I ever ever saw live played. A "punk" band from Philly ... Flag of Democracy. They were supposed to be legit but man they were awful. The best thing they did all night was when Scott got on stage at their request and played bass, yes bass on "Iron Man." Scott and I laughed our asses off later about that. One band the Creeps from Boston were pretty good and stayed at our apartment, I shared a small place with Scott and another O"boro friend for awhile. We introduced the Creeps too Goebel (spelling???) beer and they gave me tips on how to dress/look more punk and gave me a t-shirt which I wore all the time after. It was orange and black with thier photo on front. I am not joking I wore that shirt all the time. 1987 was the most important and best year of my life period.
