Finally got to see a Ygra win!
28:13 - the offspring token doesn't enter with the original. Offspring creates an etb. So original enters, etb, and then original would see the token that's created as a result. Since roaming throne was missed the 2 damage is actually right here :), but shouldn't have been amended up to 4 later

Still building Flubs, but chanced upon the idea to use Meria, Scholar of Antiquity in conjunction with a bunch of cheerios artifacts to just churn through the deck, ideally using noncreature artifacts to get benefits from stuff that triggers on casting noncreature spells *and* on artifacts entering. Displacer Kitten is one i'm really keen to test in it, since you can flicker your mana rocks. Throw in a few things that reduce the cost of artifacts and you're golden. Could even throw in the Jhoira that draws you a card whenever you cast a historic spell, so that you don't have to rely on Flubs being out in order to storm off.

The trick with flubs is to Mulligan aggressively at the start of the game to get the card count down to be empty handed as soon as possible.
This is a great idea, we will have to let Nathan know!

The flyers is such a cool deck! I certainly didn't have Azorius agro on my 2024 bingo card! I still don't understand the Flubs deck at all but Nathan seemed to enjoy it!

“When/Whenever/At” those are the 3 words for “triggered ability “ that roaming throne will see. It’s a lot to track, he is super busted for tribal decks..even more so when clone him in my dimir zombies deck 😂
Roaming throne is such a busted card! It doesn’t even need to go in a deck that cares about a certain creature type - it just needs a commander with a triggered ability to be busted!
This is great, love the camera angles and editing, audio could be a little smoother but seriously impressive for a channel this size, keep it up!

taurean mauler should have entered with 4 +1/+1 because those counters were from gev who also doubles due to roaming throne
Roaming throne only affects triggered abilities and Gev does not add counters via a triggered ability
A useful guide is that a triggered ability will always use the words “when”,“whenever” or “at” - hope this helps!
@@TheChadMagic touche sir - i forgot gev wasn’t phrased as a typical enter into the battlefield trigger.
I sorta get they're playing it. But a counter spell in a deck where you want to be cycling through your hand as quickly as possible seems like a poor choice. Even if it is as good as mana drain
Just a heads up, the Flubs deck has a token in it going by the link
Roaming throne should have doubled the counters you put on your creature the Mauler should have two more counters on it gev would give counters twice thanks to roaming throne
Interesting nuance in the rules - Gev does not put counters on creatures via a triggered ability (because the words “when” or “whenever” aren’t used). So Roaming Throne won’t double it sadly!
No doubt I missed some Mauler triggers but that’s creature is so much to keep track of!!

The change was from “when/whenever x enters the battlefield” to “when/whenever x enters”
A triggered ability is still defined by the words when/whenever - hope this helps! ☺️

Kastral has "whenever one or more birds deals combat damage to a player" so it triggers for each player you deal.combat damage to
