I got Kos-mos during chapter 3 using common core lol. I was trying to get a blade with blitball for a quest and constantly getting generic blades. After 3 regular blades the game decided to pity me and just throw in Kos-mos before letting me get the blade that I wanted
Thanks a lot dude I've been looking for a really good farming method, getting a full blade gallery can be such a pain if you don't know the optimization lol
I know you might never see this, but thank you so much for this! It did indeed took me about 2 hours of farming relentless arduran (chose him since I invested so much in the big guy) and an additional hour opening about 200 cores one by one (sucks that there's no multi open option), but I got her! Great video!
@@EnelXC Wao, thanks for the quick response. Thank you again! Now I can finally do a full completition and then go to the Torna expansion prequel. Saw your reaction to Xenoblade 3 I'm looking foward to that game as well!
Thanks for posting this strategy! KOS-MOS was my last Blade to unlock. After using Accessories and Luck Mod Blades to bring Zeke's Luck up to 999, I unlocked her after using 111 Legendary Core Crystals
I have spent years trying to get kosmos with every legendary core crystal farming guide out there so thanks for the better guide and i will get back to grinding for her. Hopefully i get her before the end of the week.

Okay, I watched this at work today, but I still haven't finished the game so I kinda just made a mental bookmark. Just got to Elysium, decided to do three blade pulls, and got her out of nowhere. Thanks for the good luck, Enel :')
"80% of the time this will work every time" I'm already going into this video sold and confident. (My sister got fucking Kosmos from a common core crystal summoning before bed and she woke me up in the middle of the night to show me and brag I'm so fuckin pissed not only for having my sleep ruined but that she got her before even beating the game and from a common not even on summoning on Zeke.)
Several years after the release of the game, there is a legend of one man who still has not pulled Kos-Mos even once. They say his RNG is so bad that he even managed to create an entirely new pity group aptly called "fucking cursed" P.s. I have gone through well over 7k Legendary cores.
i’m sorry but “80% of the time this will work every time” is so funny anyway thanks for this, i’m not a huge fan of the gacha in xc2 so it’s nice to know that i don’t really have to worry about it anymore for rare blades. I know good common blades are still a solid choice and I should still look out for those but there was definitely this burden that was lifted when i finally pulled kosmos after trying it for like the whole afternoon.
Yeah same, at least it was on my first playthrough before my banned Switch's SD Card Lego Connector broke making playing anything impossible. I'm having to play through the game again on a new Switch now even though I 100% completed the main game before Dx (still a great game)

I hopped back on xenoblade 2 for the first time since torna released to hype myself for DE, I had about 130 hours and had done most of what I wanted, but gave up on grinding for Kosmos. The literal first core crystal I opened when I booted it back up had her...
TheFlameGamer sorry man, I did get her soon after that comment, maybe because you voiced it maybe you’ll get her too. Don’t give up, it took me a lot of cores
I got both KOS-MOS and Zenobia as two of my first pulls in chapter 2 but I think it killed my luck LOL I… erm. still have not pulled Ursula. And I’m trying to do all the blade quests, so… that’s gonna be fun! Anyways, great video!
I wish I had used this guide to farm the crystals I used, but I would definitely use this in conjunction with other guides that helped me get the last 4-5 rare blades I needed (including KOS-MOS). I don't know if consulting the game code would confirm this, but in practice I can vouch that I was able to get any rare blade I wanted by keeping all the common ones I pulled with the same (binary) elements (fire/water, etc.). The theory is that if you use a booster to raise your chance of getting that element pairing then you limit the pool to those blades. So if you already have a couple dozen dark blades and use a justice booster, the game will want to give you one of the remaining available dark blades (since you can't pull a common light blade). If you thin out that pool by keeping the ones you don't want, your odds of getting KOS-MOS increase dramatically. I went through about 400-500 crystals before consulting these guides. I got her on roughly my 25th-30th crystal because I stopped releasing my dark blades. It's worth adding here that if you're trying to get, e.g., Zenobia you need to keep both wind and ice commons to thin the pool. You will also have to delete some commons of other elements that might otherwise keep in order to make room for stockpiling the same element as the rare you want. But it worked extremely well for me. If that helps anyone. I only share this because I want you to get a return on all the crystals you're farming.
By the way, I am a HUGE Xenosaga fan and I _immediately_ recognized KOS-MOS's silhouette when I looked through the blade album. The fact that I only got her in chapter 9 was really disappointing to me.
This game is trolling me I swear. I've been trying to get Azami for two weeks and about 20 minutes ago I pulled KOS-MOS from a Common Core crystal with no boosters and a luck state of 581 before I got Azami. I did this strategy to get Legendary Crystals to get the last two blades I needed and then after doing this for a solid 3 hours the 4th Common Core crystal, while I'm dismissing for Boosters, is fucking KOS-MOS. I love this game, but my god it knows how to toy with you.
Seeing so many people with KOS-MOS issues really makes me feel like a lucky person. I got her while common spamming on Zeke for boosters, probably like 15 commons into my spam session
I must have been one of the lucky ones, because KOS-MOS was one of the first rng Rare Blades I got - I am not kidding at all. The ones I have left to get (of the regular Blades so not counting NG+/DLC/Challenge mode) are Dagas, Gorg, Electra, and Vale.
I remember farming on a unique monster in Land of Morytha for a while to get all the rare blades before finishing chapter 8. Took a while (pre skip blade awakening patch) but I got her relatively well. I got her before my last blades I think was Newt Nim or Zenobia one of those. I'm most likely using this guide for the chips tho that seems useful
On Christmas, I watched this video and spent all day merely PREPARING to grind (did PoppiQtPi's quest, got gold chips, etc) and I defeated the vampire bride Marion a few times for crystals (my party was only at level 70) and I got KOS MOS out of my first legendary core in the entire playthrough... I nearly cried of joy XD
After 180 core crystals, I finally got her. Cons: I was so frustrated not to get any rare blades so I skipped the cinematics, I was using normal crystals after all.
This is the best guide I have found to farm the Leg. core crystals..but as far as getting Kosmos why dont people use the nintendo cloud reroll method..I only farmed 110 cores to get the 7 blades I was missing in like 2 hours of rerolling...
I’m back at the end of my second playthrough, and I can’t believe I have to come back to this video. She was my last rare blade on my first playthrough, and I swear it won’t be any different this time Update: I got her from a COMMON core crystal, that didn’t even come from Ken
There is a very small chance you can get any of the rare blades from common crystals. I got a few goods ones by surprise just using a bunch of commons.
My second playthrough, more than 500h on XC2... I can still only see KOS-MOS silhouette on my blade sub-menu... I'm so desesperate, I came here while I don't usually watch tutorials on YT. I really hope I'll get her soon. Also for some reasons, I still didn't get Dahlia on my second playthroug, with dozens of legendary cores and after 230 hours game time. I don't care because I hate her, but I found this kinda funny.
Funnily enough after i got kosmos and newt i couldn't get dahlia like at all and she's the last blade i need. I'll try this tactic out i have all technical manuals for poppi a lot of gold chips and all that jazz
If anyone is curious a legendary core from any super boss is 10% smash gives you I believe half drop rates so with 1060% increase it's like 106% of getting a legendary core crystal from beating the boss and a 53% drop rate every single smash
The thumbnail is actually how KOS-MOS looks to players in Xenosaga ep.2 when they play it right after finishing episode 1. Characters in episode 2 were rendered with a more "photorealistic" interpretation in order to.... appeal to normies I guess... even though 2's story begins mere minutes after the ending of 1, so the characters looking so different (some including KOS-MOS have different VA's too) comes off pretty jarring. I didn't realize how attached I had gotten to the characters in ep.1 until ep.2 started and I was like, "who are you, and what have you done with the real Shion and KOS-MOS?"
yeah episode 2 is the most unpopular game in the entire xeno franchise. I still enjoy it for some of the gameplay aspects. I think my favorite of the trilogy is III. Really solid game all around.
@@EnelXC They made some good moves with 3. I'm glad they saved the best for last, even though it's obvious that development didn't go as planned. You can tell a lot of love went into the game, and that makes it easier to forgive any shortcomings.
Kosmos was my first rare blade on my first play through. I'd never played another Xenoseries game and had no idea she was special. My friend is a massive fan of the series and lost his mind
I have the best RNG in the world playing this game. Got her in chapter 2 with a common core and no luck accessories. Then continued pulling rare blades back to back with Nia every time I wanted to get rid of boosters, had the luck accessories that time though lol most rewarding feeling
Lucked out today and got her on a common or rare core (can't remember exactly but I think it was a common). I'm on chapter six and have only gotten and opened one legendary core so far, wasn't even aware of luck impacting the drop rates before now :P
Pro tip, do a backup before using the cores, turn auto-backup off, use the cores, if you haven't found anything download the backup so you got your cores back
Reminds me of my legendary core farming build; the difference between us is I had Nia or Morag + Tora do the breaking, while I swapped between Mythra, Zenobia, and Rock to do the rest of the combo; it might not be as good as your strat, but it worked beautifully since I could smash with Roc, switch back to Mythra right away, and usually break was inflicted again within a second of switching back to her.
You guys will hate me, but I got super lucky and found out who KOS MOS was because I got her while blowing through my common core crystals... I rarely bonded once I got some decent blades, and I only started using them again once I realized I had 99 common crystals. I even got her on Zeke
Would you use a single justice booster 25 times, to ensure that you're pulling from the light/dark pool of rare blades? Or 5 justice boosters, for maxed odds on the pull?
So I randomly pull a rare core to use up some justice boosters all the while forgetting to equip my luck blades and managed to get kos mos...literally just after getting perceval with a legendary core.. Total legendary cores used so far 4😅 Total cores used this playthrough, 150-180 common cores, approximately 50 rare cores and 4 legendary cores. First blade Zenobia which is one of my faves😊
i got a big break on this game like i didnt play for 2 years.. now im at it again, at final chapter i got kosmos with just common core.. still im missing lots of blades
Clickbait title. >:( It took ME 250 hours. Because just to set up the situation in which to farm legendary cores TOOK THAT LONG. And none of it was skip-able. SCREW YOU ENEL. Nah just kidding, you rock. The game became plainly enjoyable that I didn't even notice the time passing (most of it), because of the knowledge you have shared. Thank you!
Literally got KOS-MOS as I was watching this video for the first time. I was just rolling while I listened in the background, looks like I can bookmark it for later
So, i used this guide and spent a few days setting up and then spent an hour collecting core crystals. After collecting 99 Rare, 99 legendary and 99 common crystals the stupidest thing happened. Literally 10 Legendary Cores in and KOSMOS.
@@Fermin-hw5pd I was prepared to spend hours repeating this process... though i still had to go through al the cores anyway to finish my blade album but hoo boy i have 41 Common Core crystals leftover now.

I’m back at the end of my second playthrough, and I can’t believe I have to come back to this video. She was my last rare blade on my first playthrough, and I swear it won’t be any different this time
Update: I got her from a COMMON core crystal, that didn’t even come from Ken
There is a very small chance you can get any of the rare blades from common crystals. I got a few goods ones by surprise just using a bunch of commons.
followed this guide, never got her. 10 hours later of gameplay after picking up a few random legendaries, got her.
Finally ! I got it after 250+ legendary core (and even more rare core). Thanks Enel !
CONGRATS
Funnily enough after i got kosmos and newt i couldn't get dahlia like at all and she's the last blade i need. I'll try this tactic out i have all technical manuals for poppi a lot of gold chips and all that jazz
I got KOS-MOS randomly in C6 from a common crystal. Then I got Dagas from the DLC core crystals. Now I'm trying to pull Herald.
Same here, got Dagas very early and then Kos-Mos today in C6 from a common :)
This might be a little late, but Herald can't be pulled from a random core crystal.
If anyone is curious a legendary core from any super boss is 10% smash gives you I believe half drop rates so with 1060% increase it's like 106% of getting a legendary core crystal from beating the boss and a 53% drop rate every single smash
Tested and it works! I also got a ton with orb master!
Thank you for this vid. Theres hope for me yet.
Me: alright I'm definitely getting kosmos by doing this
Also me: I rememeber now why I don't play gachas with no pity
I clicked on this video while opening some common crystals and as soon as the vid started I fucking got her. Now I have 2 more to go
Kosmos was my first rare blade on my first play through. I'd never played another Xenoseries game and had no idea she was special. My friend is a massive fan of the series and lost his mind
the thumbnail is great
I trust this man with my life, a true Xenoblade historian in the flesh.
so this method only works on NG+... because you can't have more than 2 accessories normally -_-
I love that I’m gonna say that from now on
“So what are the chances she’s gonna get with me”
“2% of the time it should work everytime”
I have the best RNG in the world playing this game. Got her in chapter 2 with a common core and no luck accessories. Then continued pulling rare blades back to back with Nia every time I wanted to get rid of boosters, had the luck accessories that time though lol most rewarding feeling
Lucked out today and got her on a common or rare core (can't remember exactly but I think it was a common). I'm on chapter six and have only gotten and opened one legendary core so far, wasn't even aware of luck impacting the drop rates before now :P
i'm in the lower 20% where the game won't give me kos-mos
I might get Kosmos some other way. Your way seems like a lot of hard work. Whatever works I guess! Thanks in advance!
Watching this video literally gave me Kos-Mos. I was watching while trying to burn my rare cores and I got her after 200 plus hours of gameplay
> "I'll list an Accessory Guide in the description..."
(Am i just not seeing it? :
im like 350 hour into the game and i have every blade **except kos-mos**
I've got all exept three including Kos-Mos lol
somehow, i dont have agate even though i used like well over 300 core crystals and have gotten kos mos
@@Arcxzal Yeah same. I just restarted my ngplus profile because I wantwd to play again, and it seems the only one I never got was agate
Getting KOS-MOS was easy for me. Finch and Patroka though...took me 2 weeks of beating up that poor Arudran. In conclusion: Meh meh meh.
It only took you two weeks to get your last rares? Damn.
@@AAA-vf2qr No no, 2 weeks for them alone! I had the game for 4 months before that.
@@Empty_Moment Oh shoot, lmao.
Finch is best girl.
Took me 8 hours of doing this to get her. But I'm sooo thankful.
Would you use a single justice booster 25 times, to ensure that you're pulling from the light/dark pool of rare blades? Or 5 justice boosters, for maxed odds on the pull?
single booster gives better odds overall imo
So I randomly pull a rare core to use up some justice boosters all the while forgetting to equip my luck blades and managed to get kos mos...literally just after getting perceval with a legendary core.. Total legendary cores used so far 4😅
Total cores used this playthrough, 150-180 common cores, approximately 50 rare cores and 4 legendary cores. First blade Zenobia which is one of my faves😊
I love this video thanks for what you dol
i got a big break on this game like i didnt play for 2 years.. now im at it again, at final chapter i got kosmos with just common core.. still im missing lots of blades
Thank you!
I'm new to Xenoblade and the first blade I awoken was Kos-Mos (excluding the one from the tutorial of course).
Thank you!!!
You a beast man
Literally got KOS-MOS as I was watching this video for the first time. I was just rolling while I listened in the background, looks like I can bookmark it for later
I pulled kosmos while I was trying to pull treasure sensor blades lmao, but I kept going with it and it works great, thanks for the guide
I finally got Kosmos from a freaking common core while farming Gold Chips/ Legendary cores from Vampire Bride Marion
I did get kos mos in a first legendary core cristal I found in the game in a treasure trove in temperantia where the level 120 sealed boss monster is
I just got it!
Did you just summon the evil goddes Moccos in the title card?
Why the thumbnail?
Why not?
@@EnelXC I don't know where to start with that
Got her! Number 77.. Only took me 297 hours in the end!
good job !
So, i used this guide and spent a few days setting up and then spent an hour collecting core crystals.
After collecting 99 Rare, 99 legendary and 99 common crystals the stupidest thing happened.
Literally 10 Legendary Cores in and KOSMOS.
Pfff, I feel that, having spent so much time collecting those and she appeared just like that. Wish my game were so kind...
@@Fermin-hw5pd
I was prepared to spend hours repeating this process... though i still had to go through al the cores anyway to finish my blade album but hoo boy i have 41 Common Core crystals leftover now.
@@arctohru you can always sell them, or save them for the Torna guys if you are in New Game +
fun fact
KOSMOS was my first blade
i got her from the first free rare core crystal you get in the story
i was like "oh thats cool"
