Sharon/Susan from the Parent Trap (and, also, Pollyanna and "In search of the Castaways"'s Mary Grant) as our heroine, Patti, who owns the cat
That siamese from the ORIGINAL, 1963, Incredible Journey as our other hero

The Planet of the apes guy as the sister's boyfriend
One of the GNOME MOBILE gnomes as Patti's boyfriend
Bride of Frankenstein and Uncle Charley on My Three Sons (with Disney's own Absent minded Professor, Fred MacMurray!0) as the ebusybody neihbors)
Original TVJoker from the era's Batman as a thug
Man who would drive Herbie the Love Bug onscreen as Zeke Kelso (and in the later filmn)
The sarcastic lady (seen here as our heroines's landlady) and Jack Benny's nemesis who cal;led him Mac

    • @Sebastian1786
      @Sebastian1786 3 года назад +12

It's a win-win for them. Every time they badly remake a classic Disney movie, there are two kinds of people: the "I don't like old movies so might as well watch this instead" crowd and the "I heard this sucks so I'll just avoid it and watch/rewatch the original Disney version instead" crowd. All those people hating on the remakes mostly give Disney free marketing on their older products.

EXACTLY. This is why I get annoyed by the argument "Who cares if a remake is bad? Just don't watch it. It doesn't erase the original from existing." And yeah, in the grand scheme of things they're not life-or-death tragedies, it's all just a hobby, entertainment, for fun. But for a lot of younger viewers it does erase the original from their memories, or in some cases they've never heard of the original at all, they just find and watch the remake, and for people that care about good storytelling, it IS frustrating.

Doesn't that film involve an international competition?
it's like writers write on a global scale when it's felt for some reason that there isn't enough to write about at home.
Yeah, it's probably best to not care about that film.

It really shows how funny but yet his character can be when he’s in a relationship not that I have ever been in one, but I’ve seen people like that in one of his performances by far one Disney’s best.

Dean Jones was "Mr. Disney" at one point.
    1965 -- That Darn Cat
    1966 -- The Ugly Dachshund
    1967 -- Monkeys, Go Home
    1968 -- Blackbeard's Ghost
1968 -- The Horse in the Grey Flannel Suit
    1968 -- The Love Bug
1971 -- The Million Dollar Duck
    1972 -- Snowball Express
    1976 -- The Shaggy D.A.
1977 -- Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo
Disney found a great actor. His facial expressions were almost as "cartoon-like" as Jim Carrey,
and his "every man" looks made him a great lead actor.
I hope you eventually review some of these other films next year.
