I love my performance center 45 shield 2.0. I carry federal HST ammo in it. It is an awesome gun and shoots great. I prefer the 45 calibur because the 45 expands much bigger than the 9mm. I think the 45 produces more hydrolic pressure that could make a difference in a living body depending on where it hits of course. But regardless, the 45 is my choice for carry.
I like the 45 in a short barrel, if your looking just right at longer ranges you can see the bullet if your lucky. Even so when you hit your target its going down hard.
Have had mine for a couple of years now. Thought about something with a higher round count, but figured, if I need more than seven, I am in a real mess! Carry two extra 6+1 mags ( better safe than sorry). Only problem I have had was ammo related. Word to the wise...this weapon DOES NOT like steel case ammo! Guy owed me some money, and gave me a half case of Wolf, and I can't get more than 5 rounds in the magazine, for some odd reason. So that ammo stays in the safe as an ABSOLUTELY LAST DITCH option. Other than that, this thing is a champ! Highly recommend, if you're looking for a carry 45. Nuff said! Be safe, all. Happy shooting.
you have to get +P or +P+ to equal the velocity of a 40 but you can also get that same round in 40.. I carry the Shield 9mm in the summer and 40 XD-SC in the winter
Nice review. I just got the same gun as you except with standard tritium night sights. Funny I put the same hogue grip on my gun as well and holy hell what a bitch lol. I like the feel of the gun and am looking forward to shooting it tomorrow. Hard to argue with 7-8 rounds of 45. My gun has super tight fit and finish. My chambered rounds do not want to come out easy when trying to unload. I have to really pull back hard to get the round to pop out. I am hoping that will go away after I put a couple hundred rounds through it tomorrow. Thanks again for the video! -Kevin
I have the first GEN 9mm I change the trigger the mag release, back plate and upgraded the round count. my cousins has the 40 I shot it for a while and I thought my wrist was gonna break off so I couldn’t imagine shooting the 45 version
It really is user choice, I can tell you the performance center makes a huge difference as far as felt recoil. Just those two little ports really reduce recoil
Thanks for the video. I just bought the same gun but with the tritium night sights. Its gonna be my everyday carry. The 9mm and 40 will expand but the 45 will never shrink. Ha!!!

Shield 45 is my edc. Love it
Just bought mine three weeks ago. I carried a Taurus G3C but the shield 2.0 is now my EDC also. Great gun.
Very informative, thank you. I just bought my Shield 45 three weeks ago and I love it.
Mighty fine 45 ACP, if I may say so.

+P+ Smith and Wesson say not to use on this gun

how does the abrasive grip feel against your skin when you conceal carry?
I put a rubber grip on it
@@pewpewbrothers242 I commented before I watched the whole video. Thanks. I’ll be getting the same grip
