Of all the comments here, I don’t see any of them praising Felix for what was a great win. Good job man, great win- now stay focused so you can continue on your road back to form. Lets go FAA
I agree that it was a great win. He should be proud of himself. However, the reason why you don’t see much praise is because, in all honesty, he got a bit lucky today. Cazaux had better decision making and shot selection than he did. There’s a reason why he doesn’t win as much as he should, and that’s because his play style is highly inefficient. Most everyone is glad he won. It’s just that most of us want to see him at least in the semis, if not the final
Thank's for your comment!! I'm a big fan of FAA! After watching his hard 2023 year, i'm happy to see him coming back match after match...💫 he will be back to top form soon 🔥
the young one actually served for the match at 5-4, but choked. Inexperience. But to keep up and even dictate powerful rallies...he has a bright future. He can only grow from here. Compared to FAA, which kinda hit a ceiling already a while back.
Wow, before the match, i thought Cazaux would take him down quite easily. Soemthing raises in Felix's game whe he plays indoors. What a match!!! 🇨🇦 v 🇫🇷
There is something special on him like Jannik Sinner. I am sure he can make it. If he stay put until French Open, he can meet Jannik Sinner there. Just a vision✌️🙏
So everyone forgets about the other top 20-30 players. Hell, even Fils had a better chance of cracking in the top 10 rn. Let the boy win a tournament 1st and/or make a deep run at a GS before throwing that out there. Ppl are too quick to throw a player into the top 10 because of recent form. Let him settle onto the tour, and then you can make a more sound statement.
Cazaux’s decision making and shot selection are superior to that of Felix. He and his coaches need to work on that cause Felix has the shots. It’s just that his point construction is horrible and he relies too much on his athleticism and trying to hit too many winners to get him by, and that is simply not the answer. If I’m being honest, while I’m glad he won and believe he should win more often based on his talent, he got lucky today.
Totally! Felix needs to make his shots more penetrating - far too much spin! His game is a bit too controlled. He needs to free it up a bit! His career will be cut short, relying on his athleticism so much. It's just a matter of time before injuries start to become a problem.
Arthur Cazaux is just a terrific tennis mind oozing skill and talent. Few look good when playing him. That being said, Felix should add variety to his game. First he should get rid of that Aero racquet and defect to the Wilson Pro Staff camp. Add nuance, touch, finesse, net game, drop shots. Stop that over-grinding of points and let the other guy do more of the work.
Meh. I watched the full match. The match came down to the same thing it always comes down to: the serve. Casual threw in too many 2nd serves at inopportune times which let Felix break him. Then you add in the sloppy errors during the TB & boom, FAA rightfully won. Low 1st serve percentage is the same reason why Hubi broke Kazoo at AO. The best will make him pay.
Idk about soon. 1st serve percentage is still too low. Couldn't even make it to the QF of his home 250. No wonder he hasn't broken through while Ruined & Fleece already have. He's got to improve his 1st serve stats. He's more like a French D Minor with all that running. It exhausts him.
They both couldn't serve to hold to save their lives. Each got broken 3 times in a set, that's like a WTA thing. Back to the drawing board for 1st serves, if they want to advance further in rankings.
Good point. Like their volleys are predictable. Challenge to Arthur…to step up 1-2 ahead with his opponent. Just what Jannik Sinner is doing. In Tennis, to be a Grand Slam Champion, you have to initiate and anticipate more vs your opponent.✌️🙏👍
Ignore the hater FAA. Way to show mental toughness when you aren't playing your A-game. You have to just capitalize on the opportunities more when presented but it'll all come back. Rooting for you.
French crowds are the worst which makes the inevitable defeat even sweeter. They shamelessly gave Casual an interview at the end of the match before FAA.
Meh. It wasn't really Kazoo that was the issue. Felix is a head case & needed to get out of his own way. Whenever, he did that, FAA managed to recover breaks of serve & correct mistakes. He was more rattled by the maddening crowd & issues with the video system while on serve. He played the tiebreak very well.
Arthur Causux is getting there. Need a bit more time. If he can make his volleys a bit more unpredictable then he is ready to challenge Jannik Sinner. Fingers crossed ✌️👍🙏
…Great win for FAA…BUT He needs a new coach and team..,before he becomes another washed up “could’ve been”…if it not for the right team around him…this young man has so much potential and promise but it appears to be slipping away every year…with bad form…coaching and team…FELIX…PLEASE GET A NEW COACH AND TEAM BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE…!!!
The French crowd was insufferable per usual & then the system went down during Felix's service game only to then start working once Artery had to serve. It was indeed "a disgrace". Kazoo will continue to struggle against better, more consistent servers. That's really what did him in the 1st & 3rd sets. The best are not going to let Casual get away with tossing in all of those 2nd serves. FAA beat Causal with his C-game. At AO, Cautionary seemed utterly surprised by Hubi's impenetrable game, became exhausted trying to hold off the back of too many 2nd serves, faked illness in the 3rd to save face, & then objected to shaking Hubi's hand on account of his feigned illness. Sure, Jan. He can be quite ungracious when losing. Yeah, CaZazoo beat Rundown at AO, but that's because he's known Ruined's game since Juniors. Agains the other top players he's coming up shortie.
