What it comes down to is, Sammy wasn't there for the "hungry years". He joined a band at the pinnacle of creative and financial success. Sammy was also joining at the hight of his popularity as a solo artist. So it wasn't a matter of gaining success, it was more like "let's keep it rolling". Just a thought.....
