I can't wait for the A-75 and C3850 pair review. I too love the Class A sound. These two should be a match made in heaven - fully balanced and Class A topology. My C3850 replaced my Parasound P/LD-2000 Class A preamp.
Ja, ich bin einer von denen, die 2 Stück davon gekauft hatten! Ich bereue dies keinen einzigen Moment! Danke für diese ausführliche Beschreibung und Bewertung!
Is there something with a similar internal design but smaller (I really only need two inputs(streamer and turntable) and two outputs(speakers and subwoofer) - my rack is pretty small and I’m limited on space…considering the Aune s17 pro
Thanks for your helpful video👍🏻 I am looking for a pre power combination with the best possible imaging and soundstage. But I find the sheer variety of Chi Fi products very confusing. So, of all the Chinese Hi Fi products you have tested, and with no limit on price, what pre power combination would you recommend? Thanks in advance😀
Do you have any suggestions for a cheaper preamp (more like half the price at most) with a remote? It doesn't need to have as much connections or such good aesthetics/ build quality.
@@D1N02 thanks but one with with balanced ins/ outs would be be better as most power amplifiers work best with those inputs. Also i'd like sonething that wouldn't colour the sound and only reflect the source.
I actually asked him this exact question the other day and he did answer. He said that the C245 was elegant and effortless, but he does believe that this one is better. He said that this one is precise and detailed while still being musical. I was really considering getting the C245 but now I’m conflicted haha
Truely sorry if missed it in the video, but does this pre have a phono stage input. Also now completely on the fence on which way to go here Cary or this unit. I always wanted a nice section in my setup. But mainly for ehat it does to the staging, also my DAC I just ordered ( the new Topping D90 III Discrete) is on the leans to the detial side of things with nice hint of smoothness. So thinking was that the Cary would great match for my DAC. But now this unit seems to be very transparent and don't add much of anything to the Sonic signature it is intriguing. But it does seem to do the one thing that the topping D90 II Discrete seem to have little short coming is add a hit of lower end. So now this makes the choice a bit harder. So I will ask your opinion on this setup. I am going to buy amp my towers and I was looking for the best setup possible even if I had to do mix amps. My ample choice was the D5 Pro, but I also like the TPA3255 that you tested. Of the two which do you think have battle bass control and which do you think has mid-range and treble if match with this pre-amp. My thoughts was to do a D5 Pro for the mid-range and tweeters and do the TPA3255 for the bass section, as class D's are known to have very quick and snappy Bass and great control ( Higher Dampening Factor). My towers are open baffle, consisting of a 15-in sub/woofer, a 12-in full-range with an AMT Tweeter. Your input and expertise on these units is greatly appreciated. Thanks for all your help and advice and advance!!
It does not have a phono preamp in it. You would need a phono preamp between your turntable and the inputs of this preamp. I can't provide any useful information or advice for you other questions.
Good review thx. This should be interesting when pared with the 108 NHB-108 Pro power amplifier when used in fully balance mode. The 108 NHB-108 Pri is no longer available on AliExpress I’ve noticed, which is strange. Keep up the good work.
Can I ask for your opinion? I'm currently using the same Brzhifi C245 clone you reviewed a while ago, as I remember it you liked that too. How does this pre compare to the C245 clone? Thanks for all you're doing 🙂👍

Let me go off-topic. In December 2022 I bought a Magnat MA 900 hybrid integrated. A few weeks ago I changed the JJ 12AT7 tubes for the Psvane 12AT7 Art series: PSVANE ART TII 12AT7-S Vacuum Tube (2 PACK) and the improvement has been spectacular. I bought the Magnat after a lot of research but I did not make the purchase until I found a Greek website with measurements that dazzled me. Since a few days ago on Amazon Spain France: €899. I like it better in Direct OFF, with the tubes preamplifying. In Direct ON it has also improved so I suppose the tubes must act as a buffer in that configuration. With it I enjoy both worlds: tube + transistors or 100% tubes. By the way, on the back it indicates that the maximum consumption is... 700 watts, so I deduce that the toroidal transformer is 700VA! (diameter is as a CD)
Can you put links to the components you purchased? When you said ---"I bought the Magnat after a lot of research but I did not make the purchase until I found a Greek website with measurements that dazzled me" Do you have a part number? Or Link? Thank you.
@@bertroost1675 The only problem with getting vintage tubes, is they're "vintage" and not making them anymore. What's the life of tube, 10,000 hours? Even unused tubes sitting on a shelf can degrade over the decades. But if you can get a supply of NOS tubes, and they're still good, I don't see why not.
Interesting, in 9 hrs over 3300 views. People were waiting weeks for the review. Thank you
Thanks a lot for setting me on this fun HiFi path.

Happy resting, Hifi Master. You did amazing job in qmazing short time.
Glad to see you getting with the program with true balanced preamp next is true balanced amp then you can really hear how good true balanced sounds
I was realy waiting for this one.
Many thanks.
Again a perfect review.

Great review, thanks for all your hard work my friend, it's invaluable for us guys ..
Thanks!

Lovely looking amplifier 👍
At least it has more than one input. I have no idea why so many preamps coming out of China have one input. What's the point?
To pre amplify and control volume

Looks great. And it’s a true balanced pre. Multiple outs also a great feature. Very interesting piece.
Do you think this will pair with my mark levingson model 333 amp.
Seems that the only thing that could improve this would be a tone control bypass.
Thanks for your helpful video👍🏻

Ya, good question, I'm in line about that too. Plus add cables speaker and interconnects thx
Is there a black front panel?

Get the non plus version. It's basically the same thing, just without tone controls. Much cheaper
@@Pete.across.the.street the ones i see in aliexpress are around the same price really.
@JoseFerreira-zb7wh i see one for $262

I have both of them and I am going to answer in one sentence. For me C 2860 PLUS sounds better; how much better - plus better.
is it true balanced? the volume pot looks like its only 2 channels.
It has phono stage???
Doesn't appear to have one.
