The Cummins diesel engines won't start a parked/forced regen until the coolant is at operating temperature (130°), cruise control off, and no active aftertreatment fault codes.

So the next question would be, will this tool clear the aftertreatment codes if they are on?

@kevinmac704 some of the cheaper s banners like Harbor Freights Zurich scanners will allow you to erase active fault codes and exit derate/inducement modes. But that can cause damage to your aftertreatment system if this is abused.

I bought a zurich scanner which stated it would bleed abs and it wouldnt. Harbor freight kept a restocking fee of 50 dollars when i returned it. Will not shop ther again

Don’t stop it. It takes one hour. To complete. Otherwise you’ll have tho start again every time.

At some point the forced Regen should be stopped if it's obviously not completing the procedure. Got to find out what is wrong
