What to do with Sin - 4 - Testify about Sin
As we have been talking about what to do with sin. We are sinful people. We live in a sinful world. It would be great if all of us surrendered to Christ completely and never sinned again, but that has not been the track record of Christianity through the centuries since Christ ascended, sent the HS and started the church.
We must confess, we must forgive, we must move forward with grace, and we must testify about sin. If we sweep sin under the rug and just ignore it, then we are setting ourselves and future generations of believers up for failure. We can never pretend it didn’t happen. But we must be very careful in how we talk about it!
    - We must never glorify the sin.
    - We must express the consequences of the sin clearly so that others will avoid the sin.
    - We must give God glory for rectifying the sin that cause so much damage!
    Scripture: Psalm 51:1-19
There are 5 ways that David talks about his sin and testifies about what is needed for things to be made right again!
    Points:
    1. David testifies about God’s willingness to forgive sins!
    2. David testifies of his sin!
    3. David testifies of his desire to be made whole!
    4. David testifies of God’s restoration from sin!
    5. David testifies of the proper order of things!
    Ending:
We can never forget the power of testifying about what God has done in your life.
    James 5:16
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
