I think we all struggle with this, as loving at all times, no matter what, goes against our sin nature. But, like when we love our kids even when they drive us crazy, we need to love others and forgive and walk in unity. Not always easy!!!! I will pray for you, and please pray for me! God bless you.
Personally, I don't feel I can talk to God about anything else until I have confessed my sin. I have to confess and repent before moving on to new topics. It's about caring about who you have offended with your sin..
Do all sins hinder all prayers completely? For example, what if a Christian is only made aware of a sin long after it was committed? Days, weeks, months? Did all words spoken to God in that time frame fall on deaf ears? A person could go mad trying to work this out.
I agree. The beauty of Psalm 34 is that while it applies to righteous believers in general, a closer look shows this a prophecy about Christ’s sufferings and how God the Father never abandoned Him through them. In fact, it says his bones will not be broken. Throughout history there was only one truly righteous Man and His bones were not broken after crucifixion. What do you think?
He has either forgiven us completely for all sins or he has not forgiven us for any of them". You can't have it both ways . You have been forgiven completely once and for all"! ( 1 John 2:1-2 ) If you don't believe in the total forgiveness of your sin once and for all through what Christ has done for us then, you will take to heart and believe the error being taught here that this lukewarm pastor is conveying to you". If he believed in God not remembering our sins anymore and was resting in the truth of total forgiveness, he would be saying it instead of a bunch of total insane nonsense by still dealing and struggling with sin issues that have already been dealt with by the Lord Jesus".

I feel like I'm doing that, with someone I live with. She is mean to everyone that she comes into contact with, so I'm at the point where I have nothing to do with her. And justifyingly so, according to 2 Timothy 3:1-5. But, maybe I'm not doing it out of love, instead in anger and maybe bitterness. However, I have full intentions of building that relationship (friendship) with her again, if she may repent to how she treats me and the people I care about, but she has not. And the few times she has apologized, it's when she wants something from me, or I have to ask or tell her to apologize, which is usually after she asks me to do something for her and I say, for how you treat me and the people I care about so wrongly and are mean to them and me, why should I do what you ask of me, and she always has an excuse and tries justifying her actions of her treating everyone badly. But, like I said before, if she would only apologize I would let go of my bitterness I guess you could say, and be willing to talk to her and not stray away from her. But I feel at the same time, I'm probably not doing it with love. Can anyone help me with this issue and give advice on what to do and how to handle this? And possibly pray for me to have more patience with her?
I will pray for you its tough 🙏. MY husband is mean to me and always asking ne to do this or that for him and I have a hard time helping him at times asking me well you just called me this or that name and now you want a back rub ?
Letting go of bitterness, offense and unforgiveness is not an option, it's a biblical mandate. I encourage you to be quick to forgive and repent for any offense you've had against her. As for continuing in relationship with her, that is something I would pray about for wisdom on how to move forward, especially if she is unrepentant. We need healthy boundaries in relationships, and that's not being unloving, that is operating in wisdom.
@@USAPresidentsGaming you’re welcome, God says He freely gives wisdom to anyone who asks; I believe He will not only give you the wisdom as you ask Him but the grace to love with healthy boundaries.
If one commits a sin, until one confesses that sin to God and man, God won't hear any of one's prayers? Could drive a person mad. One could wake up one morning and realize there was a sin one had not confessed from two years ago, and therefore, God has not heard a single word from one's mouth for at least two years. All the prayers for ones children, job, decisions in life - unheard. 0_o...
If sin can hinder prayer then Christ died in vain because sin still has bearing on our relationship with God but doesn't the scripture say, "Having purged our sin, He sat down." Doesn't it stand to reason then, that sin isn't the problem of hindered prayers because the scripture itself doesn't reference sin being the cause of hindered prayers but rather honouring of wives? This question has an assumption built into it that considers sin to be a problem even though Christ died expressly for sins, this cannot be true so the cause lies elsewhere, if not then Christ died in vain and your problems are much bigger than hindered prayers but your life itself hangs in the balance if sin can interrupt prayer but no sin has been put away. Since honour is placed within the context of hindered prayers, then dishonouring of wives is the reason, not sins and dishonouring a wife is an issue of pride.

Good teaching.
We should expect unconfessed sin usually to hinder prayer, no matter what the sin is, as 1 Pet 3:12 suggests.
