Impressive range from this and good job validating distance with two gps devices. I personally feel uncomfortable operating anything outside my field of view and orientation. This is good to know though if someone wanted to go Fpv! Great job Dave! Take care buddy! 👍🏻😃🍻

Are the diffrences between the Wltoys 124017 worth the price diffrence?
Not sure on the actual price difference but i think this model is worth it simply for the improved transmitter and performance with no throttle lag than the previous models had

Are you talking about the lipo battery for the car itself? Its on the chassis so you just take the body shell off with 2 clips to gain access to the battery bay

Yeah Dan it's great to see they improved the range significantly and it can definitely go further than todays test. I am thinking possibly 200m, an extra 20m from what it got today is not much further to drive 👍
Can it handle 3s
Haven't tried 3S on ths one, onlyran it on 2S but i have been told a few times the esc in this particular model doesn't accept 3s for some reason, you can steer but there is no throttle?
@@PERTHWESTOZRC yeah what I’m seing if so would have to buy a new esc for it to be able to run 3s which isn’t the worlds most money
I would like to know what esc people are using to make this run on 3s. Curious if stock motor would handle it and what the top speed would be then...
Hey what shock oil weight would you recommend front and rear for 124007? i want to tune it for jumps thanks😊
Hi mate I'm no expert on shock oil but from what I've seen, a lot of guys use about 45w on the front and 35w on the rear. Basically the best way to see what works best for your driving style is play around with different weight oil. I am still waiting on a full set of diff and shock oils I bought from aliexpress to arrive so I can see what works best for me.

I'm feeling quite disoriented and uncertain regarding the WLTOYS RC models. Could you clarify which ones have been upgraded to address cogging issues, which ones come with the latest remote, and which ones feature the newer controller showcased in the video?
