Just got me a Amazon choice 12v pink jeep for my 2 year old have a Milwaukee set up on her power wheels just got her this cause she can’t drive just yet so I was tired of turning it an trying to keep up with her now I gonna swap it to this just want to know how long it lasted before I burned up or stopped working
I wish I could see what power and negative supply wire you are connecting to the motor input. Mine will only work forward but disconnects when it’s backwards.

I have the same one for my 5 year old except the lights look mean lol my problem is I just got it on Christmas and he’s rode on it a couple times and only gets about an hour of use and then all of a sudden it will still sit there and he has to take his foot off the peddle for a lil bit then try again when this happens I just plug it in idk if it’s the battery or what

Hey so I swapped out the original battery to a 20v Dewalt battery. Works great except of when the battery is fully changed the remote control stops working. Have you had this issue? Or any?

My stock battery has a power coming from the accessories then a ground and it also has a read wire going streight across the battery i trying to convert to a drill bettery i bought everything i need just trying to figure out what the wire going streightacross the batter is if i can just toss it with the battery

I tried this and when I turn up the voltage the radio goes out. I also can not get it to go. There is power but nothing happens when petal is pushed. Any suggestions? Thanks from a frustrated mom!

Everything is still working after upgrading the 12 volt controller to 24 volt, check out my other video on that. The 5amp hour batteries last forever, well run this thing around the neighborhood for about 2 hours or so and only use 1/4 to 1/2 battery
Hi , any idea why voltage might go down whilst driving after a upgrade ? I have exactly same jeep and i can see on the dash that voltage drops right down to 10-7 volts whilst driving it , ive tried to disconnect voltage regulator, so obviously controller wasn’t working only if press on the pedal. Connecting back the regulator everything works except voltage drops whilst driving even on highest setting ? Any idea whats wrong ? Thanks
I did have some issues with a motor dropping out temporarily, I've switched back and forth between stock and the high rpm ones a few times. Off the battery there is a circuit breaker that can be removed if your motors stop for a few and then work later.
So don't these ones only run on slow mode with the remote and only go into fast mode when the kid presses the peddle? How fast was it with the kid hitting the peddle? I'm about to buy one of these for my 18 month old and he's a little dare devil who loves speed!
The child can choose a high low speed but the remotes have a 3 speed setting, when the remote is used it over rides the setting selected on the power wheel, so your boy could flip it to high speed but if you have it on the lowest setting on the remote it will stay on the lowest setting

I had the voltage turned down and it melted within a day. I then upgraded to the 24volt controller and it has been fine since. Going on a few years now with no issues
So I did a battery swap on the same Jeep using the same battery just a different step-down converter. Did you delete the ground wire that come out of the charging port?
Okay and I see in your comments that you said you had an issue with the controller. So I did too accept mine didn't burn up It just won't turn right everything else works. When you upgraded the controller did you have to get a new circuit board or control panel for inside the Jeep as well
I have a Mercedes Unimog 12v 4wheel drive and want to convert it into 2x18v Milwaukee Lithuim-ion batteries. Does your upgrae also work on a 4wheel drive poer wheel? Can i use the 9.0ah battery instead of the 6.0 to get a longer play time?
So are you wiring the 2x18 volt batteries in series to make it 36 volt? If your planning on making it 18 volt all the components I used would work, the 24 volt controller I installed has 2 spots to plug in multiple drive motors so it would work for a 4wd unit. And yes a 9.0 battery would give it a longer run time than the 6.0. If your going to make it 36 volt, then you would probably need a 48v controller. Check out my other video on the power wheel to see what else I upgraded
Not sure how long of a walk you're planning on but I've ran my son around for about 4-5 hours on less than half a charge on a 5.0ah battery. Being 4wd may use a little more but I think you'd be surprised at the life of a 9.0ah battery. Make sure you upgrade that controller though

I did upgrade to the 24volt drive motors but have since swapped back to 12 volt both motors work fine with 18 volts. I had an issue with one of the 24 volt motors intermittently working and put the 12 volt motors back in while i sent the 24s back and waiting on replacement

Right on, ill take a look, I have another video where I upgraded the motor controller and motors to 24 volt. The new motors have some more rpm and brought the top speed up. Pretty simple to do
Its been holding up great! Ive run this thing for multiple hours non stop on a 5.0 battery, it easily goes around the neighborhood multiple times on about 1 bar from the battery. The only other thing I had to do was upgrade the controller to a 24 volt, which you can see in my other video
I've switched back and forth between the stock motors and aftermarket ones, the aftermarket ones would intermittently cut out, not sure if its because they are 24volt or just cheaply made. I will probably stick with the stock motors going forward. Only other thing I think I would/will do is wire in something to step down the voltage to the steer motor, its kind of snappy at 18 volts with the remote. If my son steers its not bad, thats the only reason I'm holding off
So far so good! He's still let's me drive him around in it and hasn't started driving it on his own yet. We'll definitely have to watch out for that though

I took a few cans of flex seal spray and rubberized the tires on my daughter's so it grips better instead of burning out all over the place.

Yes that would be how you hooked them in parallel. That will give you more amperage but the same voltage

How did you get the negative and positive connections off the factory battery I have the same set up and it looks like i gotta cut them.
Heat gun to melt the hot glue/epoxy or just cut the glue and peel it off

Check out my other video, it likely has too much voltage for the 12volt system to handle, I found a cheap fix to that and upgraded to 24 volt

Possibly a bad battery, do you have another one you could swap in and try?

More than likely too much voltage. I posted a second video where the controller burnt up from 20 volts and I upgraded to a 24 volt controller
If you’d like more grip on wheels get a can of flex seal and coat the treads of the wheels

I dont remember If I did or not but you should be able to remove it since you'll be using the milwaukee battery charger

I want to keep it 18v not 36. With two 9.0ah batteries i should be able to take my son for a walk to the beach and back.

Yes, for longevity purposes. Mine didn't last very long on when a fresh battery was plugged in it runs at about 20volts

@mikemerc74 mine lasted about 20 mins before I upgraded the controller. You don't have to upgrade the drive motors but the controller is a must

You need to take that black thing on it the little fuze lookin thing u need to take it off and plug it directly to the speed control
I've been running it for a few months now with the fuse still in it. I figure its better to have it fused and save the battery.

Yes. The new controller I installed came with a new remote though

That is a very convenient idea the only thing is the battery is exposed so you'll have to ensure he doesn't drive in water puddles
