I got those fullway HP108 tires from them. They were good for about a week, then they suddenly had super bad road force and shook the whole car at as little as 20mph. Was not pleased. Good thing they had the 90 day mine brack guarantee

    • @kubasorama
      @kubasorama Год назад +2

@@Pantherjonvideos Americana? Well, they were not only designed, but also built in Modena, Italy. Yeah, engine was Ford and also Ford had rights to sell it in their dealership in US, but the car was import from Italy. And keep in mind, that it was still produced by DeTomaso until 1988, 13 years after Ford stopped selling it in US. Also designer (Tom Tjaarda from Carrozzeria Ghia) had nothing to do with design of Lamborghini Countach (which was designed by Marcello Gandini working at Bertone back then). Alex,
On a similar note to the brake booster, I had my coolant fill tank/ reservoir do the same thing. It might not be a bad idea to get another if the booster has cracked. The polymers are hitting that age when they just get brittle. For the brake booster I, regrettably, did not get a metal brake booster, but another plastic one. I do not like kicking the can down the road, but I did not want to embark on a possible retrofit project. Watching this and going through the work I did, I am sad I didn't take the risk of fixing it forever. Also, thank you for showing the true nature of what its like to work on these C4s. Its some of the most efficient packing of mechanical and electrical components I have seen, but fixing one component is such a pain sometimes.
    Keep it up!
    -Luis
EDIT: It was not the coolant overflow, but the fill reservoir. I believe its the same material as the booster.

Gasoline engines inject a lot of fuel on cold start, in order for it to reach its full operating temperature as fast as possible.
If one starts it and right then after shuts it off, a lot of things can happen.
The most common is flooding, where a lot of fuel sits inside the piston. Also, the entire exhaust system may end up completely full of fuel, including the catalytic converter.
Therefore, one shall let it work (at idle or not) for a few minutes before shutting it off.
Alex, please install a good exhaust fan - so you can extract the fumes out of your shop, especially when your cars have "permissive" emissions control systems 🙂
A CO and Smoke alarm would also be good, especially those connected to the internet - so you can monitor it even when you are outside the shop.
    Cheers from Portugal!
I love your content, and especially your enthusiasm.

42:47 The reason why it hooks up so good is because it’s a mid engine vehicle instead of the engine being in the front it’s more biased to the rear tires so all that extra weight keeps the ass end planted

    Very cool, Alex!!
An 84 year old friend of ours has a C8 in that color of blue. Her daily driver. No blower though. She drives it in Sport mode. I once drove her previous Vette, a red Gran Sport. That car had huge brakes... Not driven the C8, though.

Watching your eyeballs hit the back of your head when you launched the C8 was priceless.

I got $17k burning a hole in my pocket, guess I'll get that Pro-Charger kit for my C8! Just need to come up with $70k to buy my C8!

Yeah, I remember those days crawling into a very small under the dashboard. Luckily, I'm only 5'6, so that made it a bit easier

Love the C8, not a huge fan of C4 body style, very difficult to make basic repairs. I believe the C8 maybe slightly easier to repair and maintain due to engine being more accessible.

Chronic Cough can go for 3 months. I've been coughing for almost 2 months, saw a throat specialist, and she said it can last for 3 months. She looked at my throat with a camera to make sure everything was ok. I think you love the C8 because it has all the modern toys and design of today.

The current Vette is a must have for any wealthy serious car guy.
It beats most all else on the road, the only thing GM has done right in 40+ years.
    It's also amazing looking.

I just ordered those Landspiders for my wife's 19 escape! Thanks Alex for the coupon code but more importantly the recommendation. I had never heard of either Priority Tire or Landspider. I didn't want to pay $800+ for new tires so I have been procrastinating far too long.

I seem to remember seeing ladders with those 3 letters around jobsites here in the west suburbs. I'm retired IBEW 701. Oh, and I have a few borrowed Gibson ladders myself LOL.

WOW, proof that something like that early pro charger is priceless to the right person. I get the feeling that these were made in very low numbers. This was a really fun episode! I have a Procharger kit on my 1991 mustang GT that I purchased and installed back in High School in 1998 and it's still going strong! I wish that you could opt to keep the billet look of the blower, or go with the textured finish if that's what you like.

That bracket was the ECM holder, I had to make a relief cut to get it to fit the new booster. Also remove the seat anytime you work under the dash.
