    Check the ground wire going to the compressor ! Test for power by using the frame as a ground rather than the ground in the ac harness . I tied in a wire from the harness ground and ran it to the ground on the battery and Shazam it works great !!

    Had the same problem in my 2006 4.7 V8, it was the PCM of all things. It was an easy fix actually. Plug and play PCM for about $250.00-work like a charm. Sadly, I have so many other issues with this struck.

    These trucks have so many problems I have to remove my dash again to rebuild the AC/Heater box again, I still have not gotten the AC to work correctly, I will not buy another Dodge truck, I know that if any of you have a problem with this the first thing you need to do is take a test light and make sure you are getting power to the AC compressor if there is no power then your TIPM is bad, if you hard wire a switch like I did also install an electric fan and wire it also to the AC switch you install that way the system will not over heat. if your TIPM goes out like mine did the system will not Communicate with the fan in other words when the system starts to get hot it will not turn the fan on to cool the condenser causing the system to over heat and blow out the freon out of the overflow valve. I will post another video soon to show all of you how to correct this problem with out spending a lot of money.

      Not sure what brand you're buying. If the parts that you are buying are nor made by Dorman then they will not work correctly. Buy OEM parts for your truck anything else will not work and if it does it will not last. I suggest you Google the parts and buy them online you will save a lot of money that way.

If you install 2 you will feel the difference like I did also anyone that reads this that has a problem with there blend doors if they also install cutoff valves like I did will not have to go threw the trouble in replace there blend doors, Have a great weekend, Leo.

    • @leokarras6243
      @leokarras6243  7 лет назад +1

      The problem is the fuse box these trucks all have that problem I forgot the name if it, what happens is if you do what I did and install a switch it will work but the system will over heat if you are sitting with the AC on you will what sounds like air loss that is the Freon blowing out of the over ride valve when the system gets hot the high pressure switch will not turn the fan on. I leave mine on when I am moving when I am a stop for a few minutes I turn the compressor off, that fuse box is not cheap used about 600.00.

      Last week it went out. The clutch fried. So I bought a new compressor and clutch this week and had it installed. Annnd nooooo power to the clutch now

    • @leokarras6243
      @leokarras6243  6 лет назад

      I would replace the whole compressor but as for no power that is a big problem with these trucks a huge problem and it goes back to the early models usually it's the TIPM that goes out with these after going threw the whole system on my truck I went on a head and ordered one for my truck once it comes in I will replace it. in most cases once you connect and put a direct switch on the truck it will work until the system over heats then the Freon will leak out from the system overheating so if that happens you will have to change the TIPM the whole fuse box. the reason you will have to change it is do to the fact that the system in not communicating with the system and the fan does not know to come on when the system over heats, it will work when you are on the freeway or the truck keeps moving but if stopped in traffic or at a long light you will hear the sound of a large air leak then no more Freon and hot air. hope this helped you.
